Am I allergic to condoms?

So to make a long story short, I have tiny red bumps on the head of my penis after using a condom. I'm 90% sure that it's not an STD cause she's clean (we've had unprotected sex before but used protection to prevent pregnancy) so the only explanation I can think of is a reaction. They seem like rashes but who knows what it could really be. So is this an allergic reaction to the condoms? And what are some treatments for it? As of now, I'm rubing baby oil on it cause I don't want to go to a dick doctor. Thanks.

  • It's very possible that it's an allergic reaction, in which case, you can prevent a repeat occurrence by using a different type of condom (such as polyurethane, if latex was the issue). But you still need to go to the doctor. You need to know what this is so that you can treat it and prevent it from happening again. You also need to be sure that it isn't an STD, and the only way to be sure is to go to a doctor. It doesn't have to be a "dick doctor". You can go to a general practitioner for this.

  • Stop rubbing baby oil on it, first of all, that's not good. Then, go to a doctor. You may be right, it may be the latex in the condoms. It's not uncommon to have a latex allergy. You can buy latex free condoms from some places.
    It also might be something else, and a doctor needs to investigate.

If you have a rash from an allergic reaction, you need to be keeping it clean and dry, with the exception of using a antihistamine cream if it's itchy. I wouldn't advice that, though, given the location of the rash. Just see your GP. It's stupid to do anything else, especially considering where the rash is. If it's not a reaction to latex, do you really want to leave it to cause potentially permanent damage?

  • Try some hyrdocortisone which you can get over the counter. It is probably a latex allergy. Try a different brand of condom or better yet try some made out of lambskin. Try different ones on and see which ones fit and feel best. Has this happened before or is this the first time you had sex with a condom. Does it bother you when you jerk off or is everything working properly?

    • Tbh, I don't even have a doctor. Do I just go up to an office and schedule an appointment? Also, it would have to be latex. If it were my boxers or clothes, I would've had an reaction like this a long time ago but I never did.

  • Could be. I would see a doctor about this. Use condoms people... every single time... this is only way to prevent catching something like this.   • Google Latex rash treatment. Some people are allergic to Latex. It's quite a serious allergy. If you've been using Latex condoms, try non-Latex condoms.
