Any quick ways of soothing/getting rid of UTI's?

If I don't feel any better tomorrow morning, then a trip to the doctors is well needed, but if anyone has any tips on either soothing or completely getting rid of a UTI then PLEASE don't hold back.. I'm in so much pain ladies 😭

  • We have Ural in Aust which is a urinary alkalaniser to help with the burning. I always keep some in the cupboard even though I rarely get them anymore.
If it's late see if you can get some cranberry juice. I mix it with water (half and half) and just keep drinking until the symptoms start to ease, going to the bathroom when I need to. It flushes the bacteria out of your bladder, even though its painful.
    Hope you're feeling better soon

  • Oh yup, this was me yesterday fml, ended up peeing blood. Ok take cranberry tablets, not the juice! Take two nurofen, have a warm bath, get out hit the couch and have a strong gin and tonic. ... oh ur 18.. scratch the gin. I also had two URLs sashes, which in effect are just baking soda and water so if you can't get hold of them, dissolve a table spoon of baking soda in a tall glass of water.

    • And this all works? I'm desperate for it to be rid of

    • It did for me. I tend to try and fix them myself now instead of getting anti biotic now, my body got used to the anti biotic and they stopped working as well. The cranberry tablets were my saving grace! And realising I'm allergic to pineapple juice.

    • Plus they pain is so bad, so I've spent years working on mastering mind control on that. Warm bath is the best, and don't be ashamed to pee in it. It hurts less in the bath.

  • antibiotics and lots of water are really the only cure. cranberry capsules will help if you can find them, the juice no longer has the active ingredient to help, or if it does, its in such minute quantities you have to drink gallons.

  • Cranberry juice for the burning. No orange juice. And for the pain, pamprin. Pms meds have sedatives to dull the pain.

  • don't drink a bunch of water it just makes you pee more and peeing is painful. when I went to the doctors he told me to drink cranberry juice and he gave me some antibiotics. see the doctor if you can for the medication and drink CRANBERRY JUICE it helps. make sure it's %100 juice or it won't help.

  • You should check out an over the counter medicine called cystex plus. If you can't find it just look for something with an active ingredient containing an antibacterial and not just pain relief.

  • Other than antibiotics you can help by making your urine acidic, take 1000 MG of vitamin "C" per day, buy cranberry juice not cranberry cocktail but actual juice, and drink lots of it along with copious amounts of water. If you're prone to uti's it wouldn't. Be a bad thing to take 500 MG of vitamin "C" daily and keep cranberry juice on hand and drink some here and there to help prevent another uti.
