Sexual Health I'm not trying to be sexist here. As a man, I'm not going to experience periods in my life time hence my opinions depends upon experience shared by others.
I know periods can give cramps, can make you go wild, can give sour feelings but irrespective of that, I was told by many women that periods aren't really that big deal unless we make it or it goes extreme. It is a part of women's day to day (or month to month) life

In India I have seen extreme rules like sleeping on the ground alone without anything to lie on and without a pillow (if you want to get a mat , bedsheet or pillow you have to wash it in the morning before dawn) And when you wake up you have to bathe without touching anything (even the cupboard) or any family member that is why the women keep their undergarments towels , pads in the bathroom on the previous night.
Another irony is that although you can't enter the kitchen but you have to wash all the dishes at the outside tap after the family has eaten the meal. And when someone is drinking water and you touch them , the water is considered impure and same is with food You have to eat your food in an isolated corner
I can tell you now, when I was younger I used to wonder why other girls hated it so much as mine were a breeze. But as I've got older the pain intense pain I've started to experience I would not wish on my worst enemy, thankfully the doctors have it under control again now. so really it depends on how the girl experiences it, no two are exactly the same, I'd believe whatever that person told me was true for them.
The pain I had when it was bad was completely crippling. It's no joke if it's bad.
To the guys that have said they're overrated I would literally pay good money to see you with them! Lol

Not that big of a deal. Its kinda like having a mild cold with cramps and bleeding.
Cramps are a weird feeling of pain, not like a leg cramp, but a mix between how it feels when you have bad gas buildup in your colon, a stinging sensation, and pressure as if something is pushing from the inside. The pressure to me is the worse.
My boyfriend likes to rub my lower tummy, aka the "pool house," for his future children he calls it lol and message my very tender breasts if ma period is unusually harsh
