Aroused by a friend?

This is a reworded version of a question I asked because people weren't addressing the point of the question. Ladies, if you're just friends with a guy, do you still sometimes get sexually aroused by him if he says or does something that you like? I know guys get aroused by female friends, but I'm not sure if women do or not. I'm talking about just a friend, not a bf/crush or anything like that. If yes, can you supply an example or two. I'm not asking "what turns you on", so please don't just list your turn ons. Thanks.

  • i would like to answer your q like " yes we do and it happened to me" but I'm not sure if the relationship we are in is a pure friendship or just a hidden crush!

but it happened to me like once we were out in a night and he just took my hand for 2-3 sec! just this simple and I just felt the warmness of his hand transmitted to all my body! while it happened so many times before or after that we handshaked or he even huged me, but that feeling didn't come back...so it depends on her mood, the guy's mood( I think) and the situation!

    • Interesting that it was just the once. I tend to get into that gray area that's more than a friend and less than a lover a lot, so I definitely relate to your situation. Thanks for a good answer though.

  • The answer is yes, but probably not in the same way as a man would. If a male friend hugs me or says something sweet or just talks to me and I'm in the right frame of mind of course I think, "Hm, I wonder what it's like to kiss him?" or "I wonder how big his penis is..." which leads into "I wonder what it's like to have sex with him" I think this is pretty average and common.

    • Great answer for the mental aspect of it. But from a physical standpoint, do you ever get physically aroused by something simple like that? I mean, without thinking about it, it just happens. (I clearly have no idea how well vaginas and brains communicate with each other.) anything like that?

    • It's not as cut and dry for a woman. We don't get erections and you don't always know you're wet unless there's evidence in the panties. There has to be more than a common conversation or generic brush against someone to trigger a physical response in me, personally. I guess the lightest form of arousal comes in like a tingling sensation, which happens from time to time in a general setting but it's easily ignored, not nearly the equivalent to a bulge in the pants.

    • This is educational. Thanks. I guess the tingled are actually what I'm curious about. Do they mean anything to you? Would it ever make you reconsider the friendship vs dating him?

  • Yes. It’s happened to me recently actually. My friend through a soda can at my other friend and some of the little left over drops got on my arm so I was like “thanks you got soda on me” then he licked my arm where the soda was. It turned me on for some reason. Just the way he did it I guess.

  • For me, this guy I (now like) smelled insanely good one day and I seriously could not focus on what he was saying, not one word. That would be my equivalent of being aroused because all I could think of was "omg I just want him to hold me" Obviously...that phrase stayed in my head, thank goodness.

    • Did your behavior give you away? Did he have any idea that something was going on? Why hide it in the first place?

    • He might have guessed because I could not hold an eye contact with him for more than 3 seconds. But that's pretty subtle to have guessed something was up, so I dunno. I just didn't know that I like him then and also, I work with him so I don't want to make things too complicated. Altho, my friends all think he likes me too...

    • Well, good luck with that. My only advice is that guys suck at subtlety, so if you want him be kind of obvious.
