Bleeding after attempted anal?

ok so I'm starting to get a bit worried now. sorry if the details are gross but here's the deal. my boyfriend was messing around with my butt last weekend, he asked me if I wanted to try anal and I said no because it sounds uncomfortable and so we proceed to have regular vaginal intercourse. but at some point while he was fingering me he stuck his fingers in my anus and it hurt like hell! later that night I had a really painful bowel movement and there was a lot of blood as well. it's been 5 days and I'm still seeing bright red blood when I go to the bathroom. should I be worried? has this happened to any of you guys before? please help!

  • How much blood? I get anal fissures (small tears in the skin) from hard to move bowel movements and they take a long time to heal since they usually reopen every time I have another movement. It is not a lot though, just a little on the toilet paper or in the toilet.

The fact that it is bright red blood is good, it means that the damage is fairly low down, meaning in your anus and not your intestines.

If it's a lot go see a doctor but if it isn't I think it is probably just an anal fissure.

    • yeah it's not too much so it's probably a cut like you said. thanks for your help!

  • It's not unusual to tear tissue in either the vagina or anus as both are very thin membranes. It is also a tough spot to get time to heal properly and I wouldn't wait much longer before stopping in to see a doctor. His fingernail probably cut you and you do not want an infection in that area for sure.

  • You really should go see a doctor. Clearly that isn't normal and you should be checked out because it sounds like you tore something.

And your boyfriend is an idiot.

    • Thumbs up for last comment!

    • lol thanks. he doesn't have the brightest ideas sometimes

    • Make sure you guys take things slow next time so you don't end up dreading anal play/anal sex.

  • I want to comment. Anal sex can be great fun for both partners but it has to be done carefully, with great patience and with lube. I'm guessing you have a small cut or tear. See a doc if it doesn't heal by itself. You might also have an internal hemorrhoid that he aggravated.

  • That's an exit hole only. Although anal has become common now, it is NOT safe biologically speaking.

  • It'll probably be alright, I wouldn't worry too much. That said maybe tell your boyfriend about what happened so he'll know not to mess around with your butt any more.

    • thanks! and I definitely let him know

  • I guessing that he scraped or cut you inside with a fingernail maybe. Bright red is actually a good sign because the bleeding part is close to the surface and not something deeper. Oxygenated blood. It should heal by itself but if it is still bleeding after 7+ days, I'd go see your doctor. Sounds to me that he has no clue how to do anal correctly so it's best he not even try it. Done right it can be awesome for the lady. Done wrong, well ... FWIW.

    • that's good to know. thanks :)

  • Undoubtedly a tear. The best choice is a doctor visit. If you don't do that buy a douching kit from a pharmacy. Pick one with a little finger width probe not the p*rnstar size one. Clean out with salt water after you Do-do and apply antibiotic ointment as far in as you can reach. Unpleasant but it will help. Anal is a bad plan.
