it was interesting a few weeks ago I was talking with my father and he said how he feels if you do anything other than a friendly kiss its as bad as having sex. now that's from the extremely religious views but in a way I have to kinda agree. I think that once you loose the pure thoughts and once you have done a few things with someone else then no you haven't lost ur virginity but you lost your purity that makes you a true virgin.

dont get me wrong I enjoy sex I have it with my girlfriend all the time. but I do think that loosing your virginity isn't only vaginal intercourse but also the thought feelings and emotions. and I feel if your willing to give and receive oral sex then what is wrong with going the rest of the way? what has stopped you? to some people oral sex is more serious than actually having sex. so its all your choice to stay pure or to loose it to someone and either have sex or have oral sex. either way make sure to be with the right person. because no matter what you do if its with the wrong person the first time its the most regrettable. I learned from experience and I wish that none has to live the same regret I've had for years until I have found my recent girlfriend and only she has finaly redeemed me with her love.

I was just discussing matters of virginity with a girl and we agreed that someone who's had a serious sexual fantasy should no longer consider themselves virginal. But where you draw that line is a matter of personal preference, which I guess is why you ask. But that's my take. Just being over the age of 15 makes you not so much a virgin, in my books, unless you have some serious hormonal deficiencies. :)

in my book... if you have done anything sexual, you are not "pure". But you are still a virgin if you have not had sexual intercourse. for me, I haven't had oral sex either way, but I have been penetrated by a finger or two... I am not pure, but I'm still a virgin, because I haven't had intercourse. I'm 23 years old, and I am happy to be a virgin, I just wish I was a pure virgin.

I definitely do not think that giving a blow job means you lose your virginity.

I have given head a few times and I still consider myself a virgin.

People might not consider me 'pure' but to me, losing your virginity is when a penis enters your vagina.

Not in my opinion, no. Losing ones virginity would involve penetration of the woman by the man. Anything done with the hands or mouth don't qualify to me. I would technically call that foreplay I guess. If it didn't lead to full on intercourse, I guess I'd just call it stimulation.

But no, I'd not consider that one losing their virginity.

A blow job is oral sex performed on the male. It has no relation too a penis going into the vagina. A penis in the vagina is the only way a female stops being a virgin.

There seems to be a consensus so far for "no", and I agree with the "no" (where would you stop - does giving a hand job lose you your virginity?) - but on the other hand I don't think you need to get your vagina f***ed to stop being a virgin. If you took it up the ass I wouldn't call you a virgin either - even if you still had your hymen. We wouldn't call a gay man a virgin just because he'd never done a woman, so I think there should be some consistency in the definitions.
