In my experience, no. And I DO own a real corset, with steel boning. It also really depends on the style of corset. A Victorian or Edwardian for example, doesn't squeeze or bind the breasts so much as shove them up. One with a sweetheart 'neckline' would be more constricting, if the measurements were wrong in the chest and the breasts were too big, in which case the corset would be very constricting in that area because it's raised higher, more like a bra. That particular style is designed with space for the breasts, but that's all pointless if the fit is wrong. That's why any good real corset is made custom to your measurements, and aren't pre-sized, so typically they're not cheap. And then of course there are under-bust styles that don't do much to the breasts at all, except push up on the underwire of a bra. So it would give a further push-up effect, but don't restrict the breasts at all.
If anything, a corset will hurt your ribs or hips, especially if the sizing is wrong. Mine is pretty comfortable because it was made custom to my measurements. I can easily get a good 5 inch reduction in my waist. The only minor discomfort I get is if I lace it too tight. You just have to know your limits, lol.0 0 0 0Corsets (like real ones) are definitely not meant to be comfortable. They are meant to distort the body into a form that was considered at one time to be more womanly. They have hard pieces (I believe that they were made out of bone or something a long time ago) to keep the back straight. Many women also broke their ribs because they wore their corsets too tight.
If you're talking about the lingerie type of corset (not exactly a real one), they are probably not the most comfortable thing in the world, but I can't imagine they would be too comfortable. They could hurt your boobs if you wore it too tight over your chest.0 0 0 0would they hurt your boobs because they squeeze them?

4 0Wouldn't really know since I've never worn a corset, and I doubt most women have ever worn a legitimate corset in their lives. I'm fairly sure they're meant to be comfortable to wear, though.
