Do girls dislike parties where there are too many girls and not enough guys?

Guys hate parties known as "sausage fests" where there are way too many guys, and not enough girls. the reason for this is not because we are trying to hook up, but because being surrounded by too many dudes is boring and not as fun. I was wondering if girls hate parties where there are too many girls and not enough guys. I asked a female friend of mine and she said these types of parties are called "Muffin baskets" (the opposite of a sausage fest) or ovary parties. She gives the same reason as me for disliking these parties: It's no fun and kind of boring to have too many women. I personally have been to an "ovary party." I went to a girls graduation party and literally only her BFFs where there. there was like 20 girls and I was the only guy there. You might think: :"Dude, you are so lucky, SCORE!" but it was really annoying. They where doing girlie things and listening to annoying pop music and because I was the only guy EVERY girl was trying to get my attention to come hang out with them. It was hell.So, do girls hate these too?

I love to go to parties with my girls only. But notice that I say ONLY.. This is not meant as a normal party, this is a party for girls only. It is okay, it is the same as when you guys get together to watch sport or something. But if we are talking about a real party where you meet strangers.. Now THAT is annoying...! If there is too many girls I mean. But also the other way around. I hate it when I am one of the only girls at a party. They won't give you a rest. I think the best parties is when there are 68-70 percent guys and the rest is girls. Its perfect course you can hang out with your girls and still flirt and stuff with a selection of guys and in general just be able to relax and have more fun ;)

not necessarily.  girls generally like hanging out with other girls for socializing.  So, I don't think it is as annoying as a sausage fest.  muffin baskets are fun because there isn't as much competition from other girls when there are no guys involved.  its only annoying if the girls there are hostile or if you were hoping to meet a guy and found out there were none.

i honestly don't care.

if there are a lot of girls, it doesn't bother me. I go to a women's college so I guess I'm just used to being surrounded by females. even when we have social functions and things where guys are invited its always like 80% girls. I don't find it boring and you can certainly still have fun.

i can see how that would present a problem. I think the thing to do in that situation is to start taking off your clothes. The boring girls will leave you alone at that point, while the meaningful ones will stick around.

Not really. I don't go to parties to hook up. I prefer partying with boys, but girls can be fun too.

It depends on the party, if it is like a birthday lunch I don't mind how many girls or guys there are but if it is like a party with dancing and drinking why would I want to be surrounded by girls I don't know that will just compete for the few guys and judge the pants off me?

i love parties whatever the gender dynamic, but I would prefer to go to a party with more guys than girls, just because that way there less competition, its not a big problem though. I would really like a party with all girls though, where I can not worry about how I look and have girl talk
