I believe that a healthy male masturbates while in and out of a relationship. Men receive a different level of satisfaction from masturbating as they do sex. Masturbating to me has always been away of releasing tension and hormones. Making love is a release of my soul and love for my girlfriend. I have an open relationship with my girlfriend about masturbating. She takes interest in the old videos or magazines I've had since my early youth. She takes interest so as to see what ideas make me aroused. I think it also depends on the frequency. If a male does it more often than making love to his partner there could be an issue of confidence. Simply put to me I think masturbating is healthy in moderation whether in or out of relationship.

We have been masturbating since about age 12, it's a natural thing for a guy to do even if he's in a good relationship, it doesn't mean he needs to because your doing something wrong, we just do it cause that's what we do, don't try and make him stop it won't work, sure he might say ok I won't but are you going to be watching him 24/7 didn't think so.
