I've actually heard of guys doing that, because they have a feeling of it being too dirty to do without one. But it's rare.

But, if he is cheating, there might not be any way for you to purposely catch him. You might just have to see if he slips up somehow.

It depends. The only way I see him using those condoms by himself is to see if they fit properly or if he's inexperienced with putting them on.
