Do Hot Girls/Women Lie about Past Sexual Encounters?

I have heard from many people, mostly guys but also girls, that when a guy asks a girl how many guys she has had sexual encounters with she usually lies to not seem slutty. This question is not a debate about the word "slut" or anything just if hot girls lie about past sexual encounters. Also not a debate about whether past sexual partners matters just a question about if hot girls lie. For example, my friend is seeing a gorgeous 23 year old girl; he is 24. She gets approached all the time from guys, has tons of guy friends, and is ultra flirtatious. She told him she has had 3 serious boyfriends and has slept with two other guys. Never a one night stand. She said she has made out with guys after parties in college a few times randomly but that's it. She says guys are all over definitely but she resists the advances. Is this probable or normal for a girl of this age? Don't girls have random sex after a breakup usually? I have seen this girl out though and she is very touchy feely and has a certain sexuality about her. She is a great girl and I can't figure her out. I want to think the best of her but she reminds me of several girls I have known. For example, I just met a hot girl I had known from middle/high school. We got drunk with friends, I needed a place to crash, she offered her bed because it was big and more comfy than the couch and we had known each other since we were 10. We never hooked up before or and I swear I didn't try to but eventually we got into bed and were talking. My point is that I would think a girl like my friend's girlfriend would have had many experiences like this. He is just wondering if she lied to him.   • I never tell a guy about past partners. First of all, it's none of his business and secondly, he wouldn't be able to handle it.

  • First off it shouldn't matter how many guys a girl has slept with. It doesn't change who they are. If you like a girl a lot and she told you she'd slept with 1 or 2 guys, then you find out she really slept with 15 guys 6 months later-would you break up with her? You could miss out on a really great girl because she had a crazy semester in college 10 years ago, ya know? And yes, girls lie about how many partners they've had for that exact reason. Guys don't want used goods, and we know that. Not ALL girls, lie, but all the ones I know do!

    Just base your decision on who the girl really is and what you like about her.

  • The answer is simply YES! We lie! It's cool for guys to be sleep around but it's slutty for girls to sleep around! Look at the double standard there! Who do you think these guys are sleeping with?

    Simply put a woman admits to (on average) never having slept with double digits and will only admit to the guys she really cared about or her last few boyfriends. If the guy she is with will never about the one stand on vacation 2 years ago he will not be counted! A woman NEVER EVER counts rape in that number and a woman never ever counts the "OOOPS! I was drunk!" to anyone except MAYBE her best friend and even then probably not because women are catty bitches!

  • A lot of the responses from women here show how much they don't seem to get it. Sure, it's an ego thing for him, and sure you don't want to look slutty -- these are valid points. But this isn't about the number of men, or about your past. It's about honesty. If you're honest with him, he's most likely going to go through typical feelings of jealousy and judgement of you, but if he really likes you and he's really worth it then he will accept you and feel really special that you were honest with him and you'll probably have him for a long time. Instead, if you lie he will probably figure it out either on the spot from your behavior or eventually through the grape vine or stumbling upon some evidence of some sort either by accident or on purpose.

    Bottom line, if you don't understand how lying in any form can hurt your relationship, then you will probably never have that "true love" you so long for in your life.

  • I have lied about it yes. Some guys think girls who have more sexual experiences are promiscuous. Girls want it just as much as guys do,and the "slutty" stigma really wrecks my head.

    No offense, but some guys think this way because they are looking at it from their point of view. They think if they had a bunch of women trying to get with them they would sleep with many of them, so they figure a girl in that situation would be like that too.

    None of us know the girl personally, so really the only person who truly knows her business is her. Unless she gives you a reason to believe she is promiscuous, just give her the benefit of the doubt and stop assuming.

    • I'm a virgin. Nobody believes that though, a lot of people think I'm a slut. The number of guys has nothing to do with it, it's about you. If I wanted to have sex with a bunch of guys I could and I would, but I am waiting for the person I fall in love with. You don't feel pressured unless you let yourself feel that way.
