i was with my friend A and we saw his colleague, B. I also know B but I am closer with A and A is closer to my age. B muttered "hi" to A and barely looked at him, then he turned to me and gave me a big smile and said "hey! how are you doing?" the way he treated A was SO much different than me. is this because I am a female?

I would say yes, it can be in a good way like more flurtasus or become more shy. We all know a women is a women but for some reason talking with a hotter women is more intemidating for some.
