You can stop an ejaculation mid way but it completely ruins the orgasm. If a guy is paying really close attention and focusing on when he's about to come he can feel it happen in stages. At first it starts off like water waiting to boil. You can feel the endorphins start to bubble up and it starts slow but right before you're about to physical ejaculate you have about a 1-2 second window where your penis feels like a vacuum and it suddenly sucks all the warm feel good sensation towards it.
Once the rush of feel good happens my balls will tighten up and then like a half second later if I choose to let it blow I'll start to shoot. Normally I'll pinch my kegel muscle (the same one I used to stop peeing) and I'll let my balls pump (thats what it feels like) for another couple seconds to help intensify the orgasm then I'll release it and shoot my load and the chemical side of the orgasm kicks in and I feel the oxytocin spread throughout my body. That's how a good orgasm feels.
You can mess a good orgasm up, though, by cutting off stimulation at the moment. Right after you feel that initial tightening of the balls if a guys instantly cuts off stimulation he can prevent the full orgasm from occuring, completely prevent the oxytocin from being released and only end up discharging a little bit of cum. Then, once you've cooled down and it doesn't feel like you're boiling water anymore you can start back up and thrust some more. However, the draw back is when you're finally ready to orgasm when your balls go through the same steps of boiling, tightening and blowing you only experience like 1/5 of the rush you normally get during a good orgasm.
I'd suggest never trying to cut off the orgasm after your ball tightening. You might get another 15-20 minutes out of the sex but it's a flavorless sex that has hardly any sensation and the guy will have to pretend he's enjoying a good orgasm when really it feels like poop once its over.
So, apart from the final major ejaculation (the orgasm at the end) you don't release any semen or sperm (apart from stuff that might be in pre-cum)...?
"and only end up discharging a little bit of cum." Depending on how late you catch it you can either not discharge your load at all or you can blow almost all of it. The only difference is that you severe the connection between the physical act of ejaculating and the emotional act of orgasming if you flex your kegel before or after the vacuum. If you do it simultaneously during the pump you'll still shoot semen, it just won't feel good for the guy.
So now that I've explained how it works in a guys head.. The short answer is Yes. A guy can "orgasm" multiple times during sex. They just aren't complete orgasms. Unless he's a sexual fiend and can lock and load without losing an erection. I can't get hard for about 15 minutes after I have a good orgasm.
I literally do exactly that every time I have sex. It's all about timing. If we stop a few seconds before and don't move at all, I will come a little bit but not enough to make me lose my erection (most of the time). It takes a very long time to achieve climax again after that and a lot of the time it doesn't even happen because she will have gotten too wet and there just won't be enough friction for me to go. Sort of sucks because the first one is disapointing and if I don't go again it's all I get. I'm all about pleasing her though so I'm OK with giving up mine so she can get hers a few more times. Using that method though, I've had sex for 2 hours straight before and we only stopped because it was late and we needed to sleep.

Yes, you can make yourself to stop after a little cum, take a small interval and get again on the sexual act. But it will only ruin the pleasure, I fear.
1. In a normal ejaculation, I get a single contraction about a second or two before the series of three to 10. It fills the penis with precum and only drools out. Guessing it is to set pH.
2. I have succeeded in stopping ejaculation after the first contraction to prolong intercourse but the later ejaculation was weaker and less satisfying.
