Does having oral sex mean that your not a virgin anymore?

Well I was talking to my friend and she says that having oral sex means that your v card is gone, and I totally disagree on that! How can you not be a virgin? I thought that you only loose your virginity if you have sexual intercourse.

It's a little complicated, I guess. Under the blanket of "Virginity" are several categories.

People who have never eaten a cookie are cookie virgins, for example :)

So in a sense you're still a vaginal intercourse virgin, but you're no virgin to oral sex.

Oral sex is sex, it's just a different kind of sex.

well most people go by actual vaginal intercourse being the moment you stop being a virgin. Its weird because I thought I agreed but after I lost my virginity I didn't feel any different. After I gave oral I think is when I didn't feel like one.

well I'm sure many people consider that losing their virginity. But to me, actual intercourse is "losing the v card". Penetration is actual sex. Oral and anal can be considered sex too but they arn't really the definitions of "sex"...Just my opinion.

Uh, no. You can only lose your virginity during intercourse. The only thing you lose during oral sex (or any other base) is innocence.

Everyone has a different view on this. I don't think it means you are not a virgin, but some people believe it does. Whether it is or not, it is still risky & could cause you to get STDs.
