It completely depends on the girl and her hymen. Some women have such a flexible hymen that it stays intact after sex and even during pregnancy. In some rare cases doctors will have to remove the hymen surgically while the woman is giving birth because the hymen itself never broke.
Other women will have it hurt like hell for more than once.
The main factor though is lifestyle. If you're a lazy couch potato then sex is gonna hurt. But if you get out, exercise, do yoga or some kind of stretching then you probably won't even feel it break.
I think it highly depends on two factors.
1. Anatomy. If the girl is really tight / the guy is really big chances are it will.
2. How nervous and tense the girl is. If she is capable of letting go and relax her muscles chances are it will not hurt.

I also didn't bleed until the 3rd time we had sex. That's when he did me hard and popped my cherry! But yeah the first time did hurt for me. He just kept telling me to relax and don't get nervous because if I did it would just hurt more since I wasn't relaxing my muscles or body, whatever he said.
that makes a lot of sense, i noticed that when the body is relaxed and your really into it we naturally get wet and the whole experience is that much better. even after popping the cherry, if a female is not wet that's probably gonna hurt being dry

If you're super relaxed and 100% ready I don't think it really hurts. It's when she's all tense and scared it hurts. It's even the same with tampons, when a girl first tries them out and she tenses it might hurt so it says in the instructions to be relaxed and stuff so it won't hurt. And of course the guy shouldn't be too rough.
It's not SUPPOSED to hurt. That's some BS people think but it really shouldn't. It ends up hurting if the guy goes to quickly and tears your hymen ( which you actually aren't supposed to just go in there and get it all ripped up quickly, that's why some say it hurts. ouch. )

It absolutely has the potential to hurt, but it doesn't have to if it's done right. For some women they'll be very anxious and that'll cause them to tense up and it will be painful because they can't relax.
It hurt a little and there was blood. He was gentle because he knew it was my first time but he stopped because it hurt him. He has more girth so I think that was a factor.
Some of my friends had really horrible experience because they are small compated to their partner even if they did a lot of foreplay and used lube it took weeks to get their bodies to feel comfortable and painless. Some told me they felt uncomfortable than pain.
