That might work once or twice as a transition from heavy petting to intercourse. Dipping the proverbial toe, so to speak. However, it can't be more than that. It's actually a pretty tough position to put him in. Even the best of guys, who want to do the right thing, will find it frustrating very quickly. The incentive to "oops, too far?" or "sorry, I misread your reaction" will be strong.

It really does come down to why you want to do that? If you're not ready for intercourse, then just stick to other stuff.

As others have said, though, just the tip still means using a condom to prevent pregnancy and/or STDs. It is sex, so think about it as such.

Te last 2-3 inches are where all the nerves are. That part feels best on a guy. Just make sure it has a condom on it every time!

Why you do not want to get him in fully? If you are afraid of pregnancy - there are ways to prevent it. If you are physically matured and having periods regularly - your body is well prepared for penetrative sex. In the initial stage of closeness just holding the hands, kissing and touching each other is exciting enough to built a relationship. Similarly just touching each others genitals and allowing to touch with it is OK, but it will not satisfy you or him for longer. Ultimate pleasure of love is in full penetration and - without any physical protection - condom or lubricants. BC pills are good for almost everything.

I'm sorry to say this but if you aren't comfortable letting him put the whole thing in you shouldn't bother. I guess in exact response to the question, the tip does have a lot of nerves but by itself it doesn't really do much.
