Does laxative tea "smooth move" stop Birth Control from working it's 100%?

I read that laxative tea can cause birth control to not work 100%, is that true? I had sex with my boyfriend a day after I drank the tea but I took another pill right before the sexies began at 10 o'clock (the time I take it everyday). Am I safe?

It depends on how it works. If it works by doing anything involving the liver, like via increasing your metabolism by way of liver enzymes, for example, it will definitely have a negative effect on your birth control.

I'd go talk to a doctor/pharmacist to doublecheck but if not, count yourself as being not safe.

Well detox teas definitely do that but I'm not sure about that specific laxative tea.
