This is fairly normal, and while I'm quite a bit older than he is, I still get them for no apparent reason, even if I don't have to pee all that much. I can say this much, the greatest influence to weather or not I get one has to do with how relaxed I am, in that the more relaxed I am the more likely it is to happen. I can't recall the last time I obtained an erection when I was uptight, angry or scared. Lastly while there is a pretty broad spectrum of how and when men might become erect, I can say that younger men will more often than not achieve more frequent erections than older men, as older men usually have less testosterone than younger men. Now this isn't to suggest that older men don't have any, they just typically produce less. I hope this answers your question.
Assuming your boyfriend is around your age, I guess it's pretty normal for him to get an erection every now and then. It happens quite involuntarily for young people, and it's not even controllable...
I recall my schooldays, when I would be wearing soft, cotting shorts. All of a sudden, an erection would errupt, and it would be the most embarassing thing... specially when one was in public. At, say, a scouts camp parade, with so many girls all around! I doubt there was even any (conscious) sexual thought present.
And I don't think this has much to do with a full bladder anyway...

What's Your Opinion? Sign Up Now!It's not as simple as just "having to pee"... it's usually if you've been holding a full bladder for a while, like in a car or something. For me, when those happen, they just show up for a minute or two, then go away, and come back every 5-10 minutes until I get to a bathroom. They're not ragers either, just sort of like it's trying to get your attention to let you know.
That's not normal. Apart from the morning boner (that's Different) if a man always has a hard on, it's one of 2 things. Either he's sexually fantasizing, or he's on the PILL. Either way, don't let it go to waste. LOL. Cause lotz of guys can't even get hard.
I get boners at any time of the day.

it's not very common but on GaG I heard of a guy saying that he get's hard when he has to pee.
Never happens to me, then again, I don't hold it that long. The only reason it happens when a guy wakes up is because the body knows he's asleep and won't be getting up to go pee and an erection does shut down the ability for the guy to piss.
It's likely normal, but I dunno. Never been my problem
