I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE DESIRE FOR COMPLETELY HAIRLESS GENITALS, ESPECIALLY ON A GUY. If you aren't 9, why do you want to look 9? I think keeping it tidy is all you need. People swear up and down that pubic hair is unsanitary and it's just a myth, if it were bad we wouldn't grow it. We only started getting rid of it in the past 25 years.   Hair prevents bacteria from entering the vagina. People just tell themselves it needs to be removed as justification, they just think it's gross.   I never said I don't shave, all over body hair has different stigmas. Also, leg hair and underarm hair removal have been around a lot longer. Body hair is a different type of hair as well. Hair on your genitals is for protection. We use body hair for temperature control, but humans wear clothes.

  There's no difference in pubic hair, leg hair or underarm hair. During cave men/women days the hair did keep them warmer but it isn't needed today. So if pubic hair is for protection why do guys have it? Is it protecting their balls?

  Yes there is? Who taught you that? Pubic hair in terminal hair, body hair is vellus. They aren't the same. It is protective, but you said it yourself, we wear clothes. It's a sign of sexual maturity, just because we adapt to the world and have clothes doesn't mean get rid of it. With that logic, everyone with a appendix needs it removed even if it isn't causing harm, because we don't use those anymore either. You don't HAVE to remove body hair, you don't benefit. And having hair for women can be beneficial. I never said you aren't allowed to remove your pubic hair, I never said I didn't, I never said it was bad for you, I'm saying that the idea that it's bad is stupid and I personally do not see the appeal in someone without ANY pubic hair because I think it makes them look sexually immature. Why are you so bothered by hair? It's just hair. I'm not stopping you.

  Again. PUBIC HAIR DOESN'T CAUSE INFECTIONS. Sweat would travel on the hair AWAY from the skin, that would be a good thing. Where are you pulling this from. If that were true everyone 25 years ago would CONSTANTLY be infected. In fact, having your genitals directly in contact with your underwear of whatever fabric and detergent you use probably isn't helping you. Listen, if you don't want hair, do that. I realize most people remove it. But there is really no need to sit and make up reasons why pubic hair is bad for you, it isn't. Just say you aesthetically prefer people without it.

Would much rather my guy have hair. It's a bit weird to be totally shaved down there, I feel. In general I feel like a guy shouldn't shave his body hair.
