And Why? I've seen many guys here saying they would rather be uncircumcised. I don't know what to think anymore. Lol. My bf keeps telling me he wish he was circumcised because sometimes the foreskin is difficult to clean, and also because when his penis is being used on sexual activities :v, the foreskin will pull and will hurt sometimes.

Of course I prefer to be uncircumcised. I do not support aimless genital mutilation. I have an amazing penis and I don't need scalpels to "fix" it just because some people can't even bother to maintain their own sexual health and hygiene.

My father is uncircumsized. He and my mother wanted me to be uncircumsized as well. But our family physician at the time of my birth refused to participate in the birth and after care if he did not get his way in this matter... the Doctor know best! Not!

I don't dislike my circumsized penis but it is an ever present reminder that some people in the world are assholes, and some of them are doctors.

I'm not sure how I can explain this without making people angry... I apologise beforehand. This is an insight from my job, I work in an hospital and in constant ininteraction with male organs. Ok first, as we all know as it is common is hygiene level and procedures. Which we can all maintain accordingly to avoid skin irritation often associated with the foreskin. There's also a high risk of prostate cancer, it's not so much as the practice of circumcision but when the foreskin is not taken care of appropriately, it causes health problems and possible surgeRy. Others include penile or cervical cancer. An older man came in with swollen penis and after the tests, it was said that the foreskin was pulling too tight and blocking his urinary tract. So an emergency circumcision was performed. Please don't get me wrong it's totally against some people religion, I'm just talking from what I've seen at work. some younger men are also more phone to transmatting or contacting STI or UTI.

@Asker it's because if you had been mutilated when you were a child, and many people around you were mutilated as children, and you grew up looking at yourself and thinking "this is normal" because your parents don't actually tell you that "yes son, we chose to mutilate your dick because back in the day they thought this will cause you to stop masturbating, but now some minority of females are indoctrinated to believe that foreskin equals blood cancer and also it was free because the medical insurance paid for it so we were like why the heck not, also I'm circumcised myself because my parents thought foreskin equals blood cancer, and figured I'd want you to have a part of your dick chopped off too! Isn't that exciting?" So they grow up thinking it's normal and demonize the alternative (look at circumcised people calling a natural penis an "anteater", just ignore the scars and demonize others and ta-dah it's already a wonderful experience, otherwise you accept you've been violated)

I'm 39 and uncircumcised. In my opinion, a circumcised penis looks better. If I had a choice, I would go for the low and loose style. The operation itself doesn't frighten me: the recovery is what scares me.

the whole clean 4skin thing is a load of crap made up so they can feel good. I'm 30 and have had no problems keeping my foreskin clean. it's like saying I'm going to cut off my fingers because I can't clean under my fingernail... in fact fingernails get more dirty than my foreskin ever has.

Since I was circumcised shortly after I was born, I don't have any perspective other than my own. Therefore, I'm a bit biased.

However, I personally think my penis feels awesome, and every woman I've been with has also thought my penis felt awesome. If I could go back and change things, I wouldn't.

Although, I'm sure it would have been an awesome-feeling penis if it hadn't been circumcised, as well.

I did have one girlfriend comment on an uncircumcised ex - she said the sex with him sucked because his foreskin was so loose, that when he was thrusting, he was basically masturbating inside his own foreskin, and she didn't get as much feeling from it. I don't think that's very common though.

Oh, it's common among Jewish people, Muslims, and certain regions of the USA. Jewish and Muslim people do it because they just read their books and they're like "hey it says this is a good idea" so they do it. Technically it was useful in the deserts where they couldn't wash their dicks on a regular enough basis, so they actually did get more infections due to the extra moisture that the foreskin provides in order to prevent your penis from becoming like frickin sandpaper. And so it was commercialized, people actually believed it, and then people wanted to validate their own mutilated penises by repeating the same thing for their sons.

So now there's a whole bunch of people who falsely believe the following claims:
- Washing an uncircumcised penis and "cleaning it" is extremely difficult (you have to retract the foreskin that takes like half a second, and wash it for like 10 seconds, omg such difficult)
- Circumcision reduces STD transmission rates (it's true, except the effects are minimal compared to actually like, you know, using a condom; and this is all irrelevant if you don't have sex with people who have STDs - they make this claim by the way because in Africa, they DO practice circumcision, but only because they can't afford condoms. Go figure.)
- Circumcised dicks look better (just look at that picture I posted in the above comment i. imgur. com/00vP7SW. jpg and see if you think the circumcised looks better. Lol.)
- "Circumcision at infancy isn't painful" (wrong, infants are more perceptive to pain! it hurts for them more than we can even imagine)

It helps if you retract the foreskin when you clean it and do that regularly. It shouldn't be tight unless you neglect it for weeks. Or if you actually legitimately have a medical condition.

Well personally I could always pull it back completely since I can remember (age 5), but I got bored of cleaning it when I was 7 and that caused me problems, technically I couldn't retract it anymore, and the urologist yanked it back and it was painful as heck but it's been fixed and have had absolutely no problem anymore as I do maintain my hygiene.
