Guys, how long does the "point of no return" last?

And how is it that women don't have one? I mean we all have a point where we will either orgasm or not... I don't really understand how there is a difference between men and women in the aspect...

  • Right before I know I'm about to climax I can feel a my testicles tighten up. If I immediately stop stimulation when I feel the tightening I can prevent ejaculation but it ruins the orgasm. If I try stopping before the tightening happens and fail I'll go ahead and try to finish the climax as soon as possible to salvage what's left of the orgasm. It seems like if everything doesn't fire off in sequence when it is supposed to you don't get the huge rush of oxytocin from the brain. It's also worth mentioning that if I stop stimulation for too long after the tightening I'll go flaccid and it becomes really difficult to get hard again which is why I usually just go with it.

    • wow really? you would go flaccid after that... even if you were say with some really hot girl in bed?

    • Holy sh*t, this is like what happens for me, but I never thought about putting it into words before to describe it. Kudos.

    • Women do have an orgasm point of no return/orgasm inevitability.

  • There's a fundamental difference between how the orgasm operates in males and females. In females, you must continue to stimulate until orgasm is reached. The removal of that stimulation will prevent said woman from reaching climax - they need to be brought all the way through.

In men, they only need to be stimulated to the point where the juices start flowing out of the testes. At that point, there is no stopping it (whether stimulation continues or not). That is usually about 3 - 7 seconds before ejaculation.

    • interesting! so what would it feel like if you were tied up, couldn't use your hands... and a girl made you reach the point of no return and then stopped touching you? would it not feel that good without even more stimulation even though you technically wouldn't need it anymore?

    • For a guy to have an intense orgasm stimulation has to continue up until climax. It is not needed to reach climax, but the orgasm is much (much much much much much...) less satisfying without that stimulation. And don't ever do that to a guy because it's annoying as hell. :)

    • haha someone did that to you? Also, what does that point feel like then? does it feel like the actual orgasm or sort of like a pause before the actual orgasm?

  • Yes, we women have the point of no return. Nothing can stop contractions once they begin. Even if stimulation is stopped when we reach that point. It can be quite embarrassing when someone bathed in and we cannot move or stop. We freeze up. If a gun was pointed at our heads we couldn’t stop.

  • We do both have them. Women don't worry about it because they have spare orgasms in case the first arrives too soon, not the case for most guys.

  • Women do have one, who told you that?

    • We do!

  • just a few seconds

  • The 'point of no return' simply means that whatever happens now, you're going to come regardless. The four horseman of the apocalypse could suddenly turn up in the bedroom and you're still going to cum. In, terms of how long it lasts, it's about the same length of time as the 'ha, ha, has' before you sneeze.

And, women must have one or you'd never hear the phrase, 'Oh my God, I'm going to cum.'

    • hm if we do, I'm not sure that it last for a given length of time, I think it happens or it doesn't.. there is no pause. well maybe I am too wrapped up in how good it feels to notice if there is! lol

    • i know I have one...theres a certain point that even if you stop stimulation I'm cuming anyways...its may be weaker than it would have been if stimulation was carried on through out but I'll still going to cum.

  • We both have, but as a man gets closer it becomes more clear. Continually touching that edge can lead to a unique experience for us, sometimes the journey can be greater than crossing the line.

  • If you cross the point of no return it just means that the process of ejaculation has started but the come hasn't fired out the end of your d*ck yet. You can feel the fluid churning in your balls though.

The reason women don't have one is most of you don't ejaculate. And even if you do, it's different.

    • Yes, we definitely have the point of no return. Men can spurt semen once, squeeze and stop which is pretty good control. But we women on the other hand lose complete control of our bodies. I still can’t figure out how men can stay quiet during an orgasm 🤔

    • @SetItStrait Fair enough. You'll also reach a point where your orgasm is about to start and nothing will really stop it. Always a great feeling! That's pretty hot that you get so turned on that you can't help making noise! lol! Are you a moaner or a screamer?

    • So true!

  • For us, there is a point at which it seems like the PONR, but whatever is stimulating it, needs to keep going on. I keep getting into that bad situation whenever my wife gives me a hand job. She just does not know or learn how to give it and as soon as she sees me getting there, she removes her hand. I cannot tell you how frustrating it feels.
