Sleeping with dozens of people doensn't really cure that curious feeling of "what if" when we meet someone new and attractive. But when we're with someone we aer crazy about, that "what if" feeling is like fleeting window shopping -- nothing we actually what, just a momentary fancy, like wondering what it'd be like to be an Olympian or a secret agent or rob banks.
I think I speak for many people when I say that even though it sounds like it would be great to have one person all to myself, and to give myself to that one person forever in such a loving and intimate way, I'd still be curious what it's like to be with someone else. But I wouldn't ever act on that unless the relationship were over for some other reason.
