How do I know what size condom to buy?

I don't know what size condom to buy for him. If he forgets to bring one, I still want to be prepared. But I don't know what size to buy! HELP!

  • 99% of guys are all within 5-7 inches so a "normal" size condom will work on most everyone. Have you seen or touched his penis when hard? That might give you an idea. You can always ask him what kind/size he likes. good you you for planning ahead!

Maybe get naked with him and try a handjob that way you can see what he has underneath his boxers. Your thoughts?

  • Go for the average size ones. 9.9 times out of 10 that's exactly what he needs. No matter what he says.

    • Are there any certain brands guys like?

    • Every guy's different but I'd just look up the most reliable ones and go for that. Most of the difference guys feel is in thier head

  • Usually condoms are universal, and it's a lie if a guy says he's too big. My boyfriend is big and he can fit in a normal sized condom however he does prefer the magnums. Literally you can fit a condom all the way up to your elbow

    • @cmasterson.. condoms are usually made one size but its not a universal fit given the different size and shape a guy may be. Also there is a comfort issue with guys. This is why condoms are terrible. If your boyfriend is big he might break a normal size condom, or it may not provide him enough coverage and might slip off.

    • Initially despite comfort they do fit usually every size, I'm only saying because there are some guys that claim it doesn't fit, condoms can break even if theyre too big etc. Condoms are fabulous actually in order to prevent STD's. @magicmanX

    • That would be the response coming from a female that doesn't have to wear one. Comfort is a big issue. If a guy isn't comfortable in a condom he will not enjoy sex and it might even cause him pain. Why does your boyfriend prefer magnums when you say he can fit in a standard sized condom then? @cmasterson

  • A regular works in most cases... if the guy needs a magnum he should bring them himself.

  • i have finally finished writing a myTake on this topic. check it out.

You will most likely be fine with a "normal" sized condom but get a pack of larger condoms just in case.

The guy can get one kind that fits him perfectly but you (without knowing his measurement) should get a range that will protect from those "ah fuck it, im horny and i dont care if the guy is covered" moments.

  • one size fits all. that is what 9/10 condoms are

  • Maybe give him a handjob first? then ssee how big it is?

  • there are variety packs that you can buy for this situation.

  • buy the regular sized ones. It is extremely rare that he'll need larger

    • What if he needs smaller

    • Then don't have sex with him if he can't fit in it.

    • LOL BURN

  • Buy one of every size, call it the grab bag

  • I would just pick up a box of regular condoms , if you've already had sex with him chances are you've already seen his penis so you should be able to roughly guess his size for the condoms.

  • you should be fine with regular, those suckers can stretch like crazy

  • Small and mittle

  • buy him a small

  • Go to a sex shop and buy one of each size. Most shops sell them for a buck or two, so not bad to have when you don't know

  • Get regular. Should be fine

    • Are there any certain brands guys like?

    • Oh that would depend on the guy. So many brands. I wouldn't worry too much. In the heat of the moment he won't refuse because of the brand
