How do I tell my boyfriend I have been raped?

He has started to notice how uncomfortable I get when he tries to go past making out & has started to ask questions. I know I need to tell him, but don't want him to freak out. How do I tell him? How much do I tell him? Will he want to know details? And is this gonna change his opinion of me? THANKS SO MUCH!

i think you need to get it out there for you benifiet and him. do it before the next time he makes a move so he isn't filled with hormones and wanting. my girlfriend was essitially raped, and I have been there for her ever sence she has told me bout it and has PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and anxiety. tell him everything you feel comfortabel telling. he will most likely want to ask more bout it bcz hopefully he will be very care bout how you feel bout it. and if his opinion of you changes, leave that unworthy peice of sh*t, bcz you have been through rape and shouldnt take sh*t from a boyfriend judgeing you on somthing that was so tramatic for you.

I was almost raped a couple years ago. Not fully, but just about. (If that makes sense?)

Anyway, I didn't tell a single soul about it. I decided to tell my boyfriend after we'd been together for 2 months. I told him everything;; Just not where or who it was. He kind of scared me a bit;; his hands were making fists and he was like, shaking and trying to get me to tell him who it was. He told me what he'd do to him, and I didn't want him going to jail, so I still haven't told him who it was. He was actually more protective of me after that. I love it :] His opinion of me didn't change at all. I think it made him care about me more, and he was more understanding of why I wasn't always into the sexual stuff...

i was raped and it took me along time to tell anybody and that was really self denial on my part so I think you should absolutely tell him so he has a chance to care about you and until you do the relationship will not be able to properly grow so I would just come out with it it's up to you when and how you do it and how much you tell just open up and then go with the flow when you feel you said enough stop talking and it will be hard because after you tell him you may experience post traumatic but it will get better and if he's a keeper he'll help you figure it out and if he's not than don't waste your time remember your'e not doing anything wrong
