How do you feel about abortion?

This is the number on killer in the united states, these are innocent unborn children. the human life begins at conception this is a fact not an opinion. Do you think abortion should be legal. Does this barbaric practice have any place in a civil society. The bloodshed of the innocent is not a thing to be taken lightly. what's the difference between a child and a fetus they are both completely dependent on other people or even the mentally handicap of parapeligic what's is the difference.

17 11I have very mixed views. I am pro CHOICE. I think abortions are tragic and HORRIBLE.. but that they should be AVAILABLE.. eliminating the option isn't solving anything. WHY are people GETTING abortions. They don't because they just feel like it. People need to be more careful if they choose to have sex before marriage, or wait until marriage.. I don't think they are right but I think that they are a sad, sad, last case scenario. ...
I am still not 100% sure what my opinion is, or rather what choice I would make if I got pregnant (sans being raped) and my career and financial state was on the line (and wouldn't want my kids to grow up in an orphanage or with an abusive family I didn't know personally)..
i think rape is horrible! but I won't force my morality on what man wnats to do with his own body...and girls can't rape guys very often...so you should have no opinion the matter or your sexist! just as it doesn't matter if a child is harmed..women should be able to abort...and men should shut up because they can't get prego! funny how pro-choice rhetoric can't be duplicated in other issues huh?

very good argument, similar to some of my previous arguments in a way. Yes, even though I am pro life, I believe abortion should be legal. Why? because the people who are going to do it are going to do it anyway. Legal or not legal. Safe, or not safe. It does not matter, it's going to happen, which leads us to the question "is one life worth sacrificing two?". With that being said though,I hope that more people make the conscious deciscion to not have an abortion rather than force them into it.
You are not winning anything by forcing someone into something.
At least this isn't the 1950's where you'd kick a woman down the stairs and hope for the best.
