I just don't understand how something can be so excruciatingly painful, & then *poof!* the pain goes away within a couple minutes.

  • Depends how hard you get hit on your balls. Usually you drop down and curl in fetal position because of the pain. Within few minutes you should be able to stand (again, depending on severity of the hit) but you might walk abnormally. If you are able to stand, the worst pain is over. After an hour you might still feel you have been hit to the nuts, but since the balls are hanging you might not feel how sore those still are. Should get all normal within the day, unless there's some heavy damage.

Funny thing is that the pain is so intense that guys seeing the hit can almost feel the pain like in this video. (don't try at home)

  • it's not really a soreness, it's more of a constantly present deep pain in your lower body that makes you want to puke.

But from a faint hit it can last ~5 minutes. but really, it depends on how hard you hit. up to several days if you actually cause a physical injury

    • well, then just accept it as a reality. The high pain levels are rigged that way by the body, to ensure we take a fucking hint and stop whatever hurt your nuts. And believe me, if it's bad it won't fade after 5 minutes. More like 50

  • But there is always a small risk of permanent damage.

  • It feels more like a shock that lasts a little after the initial hit, but it doesn't last more than 1 minute or two, then it slowly fades.

The pain is also not immediate, so if you use this as self defense
start running away as soon as you do it.. ^.~

  • It really depends on the hit. Some light ones go away in 1 min. But normally, I'd say up to 3 minutes of pain and up to 10 of big discomfort.. I just made those numbers up, it's not like I've clocked it ya know?

You asked about soreness.. It doesn't work like that.. It's a pain different than all the others.. it's more like a very intense agony from the inside. Ahh forget it, I can't explain...

  • I had my bell rung one playing racquetball and it hurt like hell for a few minutes.

  • Could be a good 10 minutes and then there is the feeling of tossing your cookies setting in for a good 20 minutes after that.
