yes thickness is very crucial for creating the "pressure" in the vagina and on the g-spot for sex to be pleasurable for a woman, so much more important than length i don't even know why anyone cares about length, id rather have a 4 inch long and 5.5 inch thick, over a 7 inch long and 4.5 inch thick any time.
