I don't like lingerie for the purpose of sex. That is, I don't like it when you "slip into something more comfortable." I like lingerie that is part of your outfit. Stocking and garters on the date look best after the skirt comes off. Pretty bras and panties should be worn all the time, not put on just before they come off. I prefer camisoles over teddies, since camis tend to be worn day-to-day, whereas teddies are just for sex.

For my money, the absolutely hottest thing my wife can wear is one of my dress shirts, with a thong that matches the color. Guaranteed to get her laid. Anytime. Anywhere.

It is going to depend on the guy, but someone that is genuinely into you will always find it sexy if you have lingerie on before.
