How often do guys get erections in a given day?

I'm talking adult, post puberty males... and how often are they just random vs. provoked by thoughts, seeing a hot girl, etc.

10-15 times a day I guess. Sometimes 2 or 3 an hour in the Summer or on a beach etc if there are women about with little on. It's a total pain and I wish I could control it. Usually they'll go down after 10 mins or so - sometimes they're more stubborn tho. On a beach in France when I was 18 I had an erection for over 2 hours because a woman was sunbathing topless next to where we were and that was the worst one I can remember because I had to stay laying on the sand on my front and got a really sunburned back. I'm 24 now and it hasn't really eased up as I've got older. It's annoying but I know I'm 'trigger happy' so I take precautions (tuck it up unde my belt / wear tight underwear etc) And even tho somedays I get unbearable hourly erections that just won't go away without 'help', it's better than getting none at all I guess..
What causes them? Women mostly lol Sometimes all it takes is seeing a bit of bra strap or something sexy on an advert on TV and -whoosh- it's hard. I don't think a lot of guys are honest about how often this happens, or maybe it's just particularly bad for me. Even now if I go to the beach etc I'll wear tight briefs under my swimming trunks just in case. It's just the way I'm wired and I often wish it would calm down a bit.
Oh yeah-and dancing is a nitemare. I've had so many persistent erections in night clubs that I've lost count. The physicality just gets it going. But it can be almost anything really. Welcome to my world lol

I'd say I get unprovoked ones about 2 or 3 times per day now. If I think about sex or I see a hot girl or something sexual, I can pretty much get one on demand still. I used to get one like 25 times per day, but not so much anymore lol. It takes slightly longer for it to get rock hard, but not much longer than when I was a teen. It takes me longer to come now too. When I was in my teens, I could come in about 30 seconds if I wanted to. I can't get off anywhere near that fast now even if I wanted to. (27 year old now)
