Girls, How often do you change your pads or tampons when on your period and how do you know when you need to change?

It depends on the girl and her body for some girls it can be once every 4-6 hours if there light but heavy it can be once every 1-3 hours. You can tell it feels uncomfortable its very easy to notice

Every couple of hours. There's no real indicator that I need to change, I just feel cleaner if I do it that regularly.

What if there’s no where you can change?

Then unfortunately you have to wait but it's very, very unlikely that you would be somewhere without a bathroom for more than a couple of hours.

Again, very unlikely that over a period of about 2 to 4 hours, you won't be able to find a bathroom.

How do you feel it though? It’s not the same as the urge to pee is it?

No not really like the urge to pee. If you are to late you feel the blood flowing and you feel that your tampon is full and so one get´s bigger.

So if you didn’t wear pads or tampons at all would you just feel it flowing? I didn’t realise it was actually a flow. I thought it was just light drips.

Yes you would feel it flowing. Light drips would be on the light days but you still have the chungs

But surely not flow like pee though. That would be too much blood loss.

Not not like that. But when you sneeze it could be

Yes lighter constant flow.

Depends how heavy the flow is and the activity they’re doing. On average about 2 - 4 times throughout the day.
