How to make it smooth down there?

i always shave down there, but no matter how new my razor is, there will be some stubble down there so that when I run my hand over that area, it feels rough. how can I make it smoother? I wax my legs but I assume waxing that area would be too painful.

  • I had the same problem with shaving but it's normal. You can shave your bikini line and just trim the rest but even that wasn't enough for me. I had laser hair removal done on my whole bikini area. It's a little costly but it's permanent and think of all the money you would save on razors. Each treatment is about $50-$100 and you would need 4-6 treatments depending on the person. It's not as painful as waxing. You feel like a warm rubber band is lightly snapping you. The hair falls out after about a week after each treatment and then when it grows back then you need to treat it again. Eventually, no hair will grow back. It's completely permanent and you will see up to 95% hair reduction. You won't ever have to worry about hair ever again. You may need a touch up every year but not always. I haven't had one for years and no hair grows anymore. Other then this the only option you have is trimming, waxing, or shaving.

    • i heard laser hair removal doesn't work too well with darker skin tones, though? I'm italian so I have tan skin... I heard you might get burns if you try to get laser hair removal and your skin is too dark?

    • Your kind of right. I am middle eastern but I have very white skin and dark hair. I would go to a laser place and ask. If you have dark hair and keep out of the sun during treatments then it might work. They will let you know for sure. I would burn and then it would go away after a day or so and have no scars. They have better lasers now that keep you from burning. They won't do anything unless they think you are a candidate. Just schedule an appointment and go from there. A consult is free.

  • I shave down there too, but it all depends on the razor. I found that if I use the Venus Sensetive Sensible razor, it leaves it nice and smooth for two days tops. To keep from ingrowns and bumps make sure to exfoliate the area and use a moisterizing soap to keep it soft. Also shave when you take a hot bath, you have to soak awhile before you shave though, otherwise you will cut yourself. Also allow the hair to grown at least three days before shaving again. The stubble is unwelcome, but I think two days being hairless and soft beats shaving everyday and cutting up such a delicate area!

  • Have you ever heard of the shaveless hair removal cream called Veet?

It's a cream for your under arms or pubic areas that easily removes the hair within five minutes if you leave the cream on the area and don't wash it off just yet.

If you don't want the painful wax then I'd definitely go with Veet...and it leaves it feeling smooth too.

    • no I haven't... I'll try it thanks! :)

    • but isn't bad to put that stuff in that area? like its only really meant for your legs and arms, cause its known to burn it off :S

  • Leave it alone and let it grow out?

It's the normal thing to do.

Waxing the area is a "bikini wax".

Waxing the whole area (everything!) is a "Bermuda wax".

There are places that do this.

    • i don't like to? it feels unhygienic.

  • lots of chicks get it waxed...thats the only solution I see

    • is it a turn-off if she's shaved but it's not smooth?

    • no not at all, but I think smooth is really hot

  • Waxing is your best bet

However, I suggest shaving at the end of your shower that way the water will have opened the hair follicles, tub exfoliate very gently and shave. If possible, take a 10 minute warm bath to open the follicle and make it easier

  • Wax. Only way to go.

    Beauty is pain.
