I'm addicted to She-Male Porn?

Hi. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit this, but I am addicted to She-male porn on the net. I don't consider myself gay and I have a girlfriend who does not know about this and to be honest I prefer her not to know as I am quite ashamed of myself. I keep telling myself it isn't real and it is all fantasy, but I keep getting pulled back to it. I did a bit of investigation a couple of years back and found that people can be addicted to porn and it ruins their life. The main addiction is not because of the porn, but the chemical release in the brain of dopamine and the link made with porn (on this occasion, shemale porn). I can see I'm not heavily addicted, but I don't want to ruin my life with it anymore. Anyone got any tips on what to do to keep away from it. NB. This is shemale porn, not cross dresser porn. There is a slight different, I tend to stay away from the porn where they blatantly look like guys. A bit of a paradox as they were originally guys to begin with.

  • I would tell her if you feel like you are hiding that from her. You should be in a relationship where you can tell your partner anything, no secrets. If they really love you, they would appreciate the honesty. So be honest with her and let her know that it does not mean anything and that you just think it is interesting. I know its gonna be hard because you are so afraid of what she may think or how she may act but don't you want to be in a relationship where you know you can open with your lover? It will help you be more comfortable about it then tensed and worried.

  • It turns you on because it is something different but you know you would never do it in real life. I believe you are attracted to women and not men at all but the fact that they look like women.     • Indeed so, the last thing I want is for it to affect my relationship with my g/f. Porn addiction can affect anyone and any gender and as I said below, it's the dopamine release and association that fuels it.

  • If you want to get away from it then cancel your internet at your home. If you are forced to only go on the net when you're in wireless area's like cafe's (etc) then you probably won't be looking at any type of porn.

  • If it's that big a problem, delete it. Problem solved.

    It's not a problem, though. It's produced for guys like you, so as long as you're not running around on your girlfriend, relax and enjoy.

    • If it was that easy, everyone would be able to do it. Porn is very addictive and it affects men and women. Look it up and you'll see what I mean. Personally I don't want to view it, but it is difficult like any addiction. It takes time to stop. The problem is stopping the dopamine kick.

    • Most so-called "addictions" (like caffeine, or porn) are inconsequential, and not nearly worth the attention they attempt to command.
