I had an ectopic pregnancy, should I tell my ex?

So my ex and I broke up mid June and I wasn't aware of the pregnancy. I had the flu around the time we would have conceived and now thinking back on it (and having asked the doctor) despite taking the pill it wasn't as effective since I had been throwing up for a week and I probably wasn't keeping it in my system long enough for it to matter. Condoms aren't 100 percent obviously. Considering I just found out he has not a clue. I didn't suspect pregnancy or ectopic because I get cysts on my ovaries frequently and i figured all the pain and nausea was related to having one. When it had lasted to Early almost mid July I finally went to the doctor figuring if it was a cyst then it needed medical intervention at that point and found out that that it was not a cyst, but rather the baby had started to develop in the left tube rather than the uterus. With my many health issues there was no fixing it rather there was no continuing the pregnancy (common anyways with ectopic pregnancy). I don't know if I should tell him. He said he still thinks of me as a friend and I'm not harboring any ill will toward him. We are better off not together we were better as friends from the start. I just don't know if I should tell him. Or just suck it up and deal with it the best I can.

  • i think you should tell him because it is his baby as well even though you need to terminate the pregnancy. I think that he has a right to know. If he's a real man he wouldbe there for you.
