You shouldn't panic, but you should definitely tell your parents that you need to go to the doctor as soon as possible. A bump on your testicle can be a lot of things. Some of them are completely harmless and things you can live with, others are very dangerous. In most cases, it's really hard to tell without using an ultrasound machine to get a better look. When I was about 15, I developed what felt like a hard nodule attached to my testicle. I first felt it when I was masturbating, so I was too embarrassed to say anything for years. Fortunately, it turned out just to be a harmless cyst, but it also could have been cancer, in which case I'd probably be dead right now. It's best not to risk it; go see a doctor.

You are saying this is not in the scrotal skin. This is serious because testicular cancer tends to occur in younger men. Having said that know that most testicular lumps are not cancer and are mostly trivial. See your doctor who will check you for hernia, spermatocele, sperm granuloma, epithelioma and also cancer.

Good for checking them out. Some very small bumps may be no big deal. Google testicular exam and learn how to do a self check on your testicles. Testicular cancer is actually more common in younger guys. After you learn more about the self exam and have questions you might want to see a doc if you have worries. Yes it may seem embarassing but docs have seen/heard it all. Does everything work when you masturbate? If so you may just have a small bump with no issues. Your thoughts?

Your testicles are going to get bumpy to an extent as you go through puberty and develop what people call "chicken skin" due to the pores growing hair.
