I never use gym showers. I work out and then go home and shower at home. My experience with gym changing rooms is all of the 70-80 y ear old guys who just walk around naked with no towels for 10 minutes doing I have no idea what.
Unless you are heading straight to work or something than shower at home.

Take a shower with your underwear only. Wash all areas except that area. And when no one is around, wash yourself there as well. If someone asks you why, ignore them is none of their business.
