  • Some are, and some women aren't.

Women as a group are more sexually 'fluid' then men are. This isn't just a matter of being bisexual, though it IS true that women are more likely to be. It's not simply because 'experimenting is more accepted among women'. Women with high sex drives are more likely to be bisexual then women with low drives. The same doesn't hold for men - gay men OR straight men. Men also tend to adopt more rigid fetishes then women do. Men, generally, tend to adopt more specific things that turn them on, as opposed to just a general sensual/sexual/hot mood and feeling.

  • A lot of guys are probably more fluid than they'll admit even to themselves.

    • i agree

    • I concur with this too

  • Studies show that it's mostly women with fluid sexualities. Not all women are out and out bi, though. Just that they tend to have various levels of attraction to people who don't match their orientation -- often not enough to even do anything about. For instance, my lesbian friend says she found the legs on rugby players to be very sexy. Or straight girls may find another girl slightly attractive, but not enough to really pursue it. Also, though, studies show there are more women who ARE bisexual than there are men who are.

    • That's what I about to put. It's usually women that are all over the sexuality spectrum. Guys are usually at the front-very straight or at the end-very gay.

    • Not a big difference Williams Institute UCLA Of men, 2.2% identify as gay and an additional 1.4% as bisexual. Of women, 1.1% identify as lesbian and an additional 2.2% as bisexual.

    • I would say that most women identify as whatever their predominant attraction is, even if they have some occasional feelings that fall outside that realm. Ex, my lesbian friend didn't want to experiment with guys despite being slightly attracted to rugby players.

  • Well, I believe that most people are not 100% straight. Sexuality is not black and white.

It's just that... women are more open to try sexual stuff with each other because it's more socially acceptable. I think if it were more socially acceptable for men to be bisexuals, then they would be more open to experiment with each other.

    • With that being said its still close to enough to black and white that the attraction for many isn't strong enough to experiment with the same sex. girls gone wild type incidents (one time) is only like 10% for general population maybe 5%. 95% are straight.

    • I am not talking about acting on it. Plenty of people have thoughts and desires but they suppress them.

    • thoughts and desires do not equal real life you can have thoughts about beating someone up but won't do it. fantasies are not reality. Most people don't act on them because they are straight. Even the most gay friendly city San Fran is 15% GLBT most people are straight in the most gay city in the world.

  • Men cannot be bi.

Men are straight or Gay. If a man has sexual desires for another man that is gay. A man who likes both men and women is a gay man who likes women.

    • I think men can be just as bi as women and all that men cannot be bi crap is hog wash

    • Haha damn dude that's one of the most ignorant statements I've read on GaG. And I've seen some jaw dropping shit.

  • I think we are all fluid, but women are more so

Guys are (for the most part) sexually fluid in the sense that we can have more than one "type" and we aren't attracted to one specific feature

Girls are more fluid in terms of other girls.

Of course there are guys who push farther on the Kinsey's scale than women and there women who don't push it at all.

    • women are more because we get a pass guys don't

    • @Asker who say?

  • i don't think you can generally say all women or all men or all people are sexually fluid. I just don't get that logic at all. There are some people that may be straight or gay and have experimented with the opposite or same sex... but there are plenty of people who are attracted to and never experimented beyond their sexuality (myself included).

  • From what I noticed, women explore more deeply about their sexuality more so than men are in our culture. It doesn't have anything to do with a person's orientation at all. It's not all girls are a "little bi", more or less women are more willing to try things out. Yes in fact there is a such thing as a bi sexual man, as there are women.

The point I'm making is it's not being "sexually fluid", just more willing to try something.

  • The fact is that, historically, straight men have defined that which is considered "sexy" and that which is not considered "sexy". Now I'm not saying that this is the best way or that it's necessarily the way I personally want/like it to be...just that this is how it is.

All of that said, hetero men are turned on by girl on girl, thus it's more acceptable for women to experiment. That's why women appear to be more sexually fluid, when in reality both genders are just as capable of it.
