If you have sex twice in a row can you wear the same condom?

Or do you have to change condoms after you finish the first time?

  • No. It's not safe, because condoms are not designed to be reused. Even if you aren't worried about STDs (but FYI virgins can have STDs too) you'll need to change the condom if you're trying to prevent pregnancy. Reusing a condom will likely lead to mess and the semen getting out, which means some could end up inside your partner and result in a pregnancy. Also, a condom is more likely to wear out and tear after it's already been used, and it could stretch out and become more likely to slip off. If the material dries out, it can become brittle and crack. Even if you don't see any tears or holes, that doesn't mean the condom is safe to use. Sperm are small enough to slip through tiny fissures.

Just change the condom. Condoms are designed for a single use, and any other type of use will make them far less effective. It would be very irresponsible to reuse a condom.

  • Change the condom. You should never use a condom more than once - for different reasons, but the main reason is that it's just plain gross. You can have sex as many times as you like but use a new condom each time. They're not that expensive (especially when weighed with the possible consequences of not using one), and if you go to college/university, you can often get free ones from the health clinic.

  • Just put on another godd.amn condom. They're single-use only, and to use them otherwise would be irresponsible and stupid of you. You say it seems like a waste of money, but you can easily get them free from a clinic or buy in bulk online. I went through three of them last night and it's really not that big of a deal.

    • There isn't a clinic near by

    • Excuses, lol, it's not that difficult to get condoms and free ones are available in a lot of places.

    • really I don't know where

  • ONLY BABIES. You don't want to end up like my sister did. Now she's going to have the child of a man she doesn't love and is a complete loser. Plus, you're guaranteed to nut in less than a minute if it's your first time.

    • Well then if I only get a minute of use from it it should be able to go another round lol

    • Are you gonna wash the condom out and reuse it? You can't afford two condoms?

  • You want to withdraw and change condoms as soon as possible after climax to decrease the risk of breaking.

  • no you definitely don't have to worry about STD's; just need to worry about the unwanted pregnancy!

  • Change it and you probably need to wash up really well before putting a new one on. Check out MrWizard's 3rd link under warnings.

  • The condom won't be very strong after the first round. Change the condom, or it will probably break during the second use... Unless, of course, you want an STD or a baby.

    • @Update: you still have to worry about paying child support if she decides to keep the baby...

    • what if she is on the pill?

    • It's not 100% effective... You should always use a second method as a back-up plan.

  • Pretty sure you should use a new one... :o)

  • That sounds really disgusting, for you.

    • That too... having stuff in the condom while you're having sex will probably interfere with sensation.

  • But you do have to worry about pregnancy! You ALWAYS change the condom if you're either having sex for a long period of time and/or going more then one round. NEVER use it twice.

  • I give up on humanity.

    • Lol! That is just mean!

  • dude...change it. You should never use it more than once...it'll break

  • just because you're both virgins doesn't mean anything. STDs not all but yeah they can be passed from mother to child. so yeah.

    • And in other ways too.

  • I don't think so.

  • change the damn condom

    • seems like a waste of money

    • well re-use it and let us know how it works out for you

    • hhm waste of money?... better ?2 more for an extra condom than ?300 at month for nappies, don't oyu think?!
