Everyone knows you should be tested regularly when you're having sex, and aren't with one partner. But if you do manage to catch an STD, what should you know about them? STDs can be really scary... There are lots of things to know, like:
There are many different types of STDs.
You probably have heard about the most common types: herpes, human papillomavirus (HPV), syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, crabs (pubic lice) and HIV. But there are other types as well and some of the common types have more than one variety, for example, there are over 100 types of HPV viruses that have been identified.
Before reading this article, I didn't know that there were over ONE HUNDRED types of HPV!! That's just insane. Makes you wonder what more there's left to discover about STDs, like which ones can be cured...
Some STDs can be cured, others can only be treated.
Chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis are all bacterial infections and can be cured with the proper treatment. Other types of STDs can be treated and managed but are uncurable - meaning you will live with the STD for the rest of your life.
I've heard that if you don't want permanent damage from the curable STDs, then its best to get them treated right away. otherwise the infection could spread and go deeper into your body. Like how this next point says:
Untreated STDs can lead to health issues, complications and problems with later pregnancies.
Without proper treatment, some STDs can cause infertility, lead to pelvic inflammatory disease or increase your risk of having an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy. Untreated syphilis can lead to blindness, paralysis or brain damage. HPV can lead to cervical and other types of cancer. Women with STDs have a higher risk of having a baby with a low birth rate, infections and other health complications.
Scary. But a lot of STDs can be more rare, like Syphillis. I think it's best to ask a doctor for the details and risks. But STDs can definitely be dangerous. Unfortunately testing isn't always on point; you might have to ask to be tested for everything!
Your doctor may not test for STDs unless you specifically ask for the test.
While it would seem like common sense for women to be tested for STDs when getting a pap smear or annual exam, this isn’t always done unless you specifically ask your doctor to run these tests.
And Herpes too. A lot of places won't test for herpes...I'm not sure why. I think it's a shame people have to ask to get a full panel done.

No need for anyone to make me feel bad please.
A little bit of fun turned into rape when he refused to put a condom on. I tried to push him off me but he was too strong. A week later I found out why he did this to me. He gave me herpes, I was so embarrassed and ashamed of myself that I didn't report it. Now I feel bad because he still out there infecting more women.

There are all sorts of reasons for penis issues so the best thing you can do is keep it as healthy as possible in order to avoid as many as you can. And the best way to do this is to use a penis health creme daily... these are multivitamin and protein cremes made just for the penis.. keep in mind that it needs these nutrients to stay healthy. Man1 Man Oil is a real good creme.. check it out.

I don't know what to say, many people are really sure that sexually transmitted diseases can't touch them personally. But the fact is that it is possible, just visit this site and read the statistics. It's really horrifying.
