Is a 32 dd bra bigger than a 36 d bra?

Yes and no. The number is how many inches your rib cage is (right under your boobs). The letter is from measuring up at the fullest part of your breast all the way around. So take the difference (the total is say 38 and the band, first measurement, is 34 the difference is 4. Each inch beyond the band is an upgrade in a letter, A-1, B-2,C-3, D-4, DD-5, DDD-6, and so on. So they are different, but in different ways. In one the cup size is bigger, and in the other the band size is bigger.

Yes. The bigger the letter the larger the cup size. The larger the number the larger the band size@

it's basically like the same but skinnier.

a32DD bra is smaller than a 36DD bra in the cup. it's just that a 32DD person has a smaller waist/ribcage than a 36DD person, so the difference between the cup and the band is bigger. basically a 36DD person has larger boobs but also a larger rib cage so it's about proportion.

Ok I know a 36 dd is bigger, I meant a 36d bra cup. It is obvious eventhough the bands and the sizes of the woman would be different, but I am talking about a 36d bra cup when it comes to terms with a 32 dd bra cup.

it is because a bra size is basically the proportion between your waist and your boobs.

Ok I see I just foundout that is what I am. Like I am 35 inch around my bustline and 29.5 inches around my ribcage and bra fitter says that is what I am and it came out she is right. I have been wearing a 34b the wrong size all along and the 32 DD fits so much better.

It depends on the woman's body. I understand my girlfriend is a 36 D but she is more comfortable in a 34 DD. Therefore, based on this logic 36 D is bigger than 32 DD.

I worked at a lingerie store as stock help at 16.

Wow great! So happy to find a guy that actually knows about bust measurements, do you think it really depends on the ribcage on how the bust forces out there? Because I can wear 32dd, but it does fit tight to me. Like my measurements is 34 inches around the bust area and 27 inches in the ribcage, so I am like a 7 inch difference from my ribcage to my breast. So do you think 32 dd is the correct size bra that I am wearing?

It seems that based on my listening at my former employer that 27+5= 32 band size. Then take the full bust size 34 - 32 band size = cup size. Therefore, you should be a 32 B. Then, several manufacturers do not really have a universal cup size system. This is also observed from my stock job. If a 34 DD is comfortable to you, then wear it. You should go for a professional bra fitting. This is a free service at several department stores or a good lingerie retailer.

Actually I remeasured myself and I am actually bigger than that, I am 34.5 inches/35 inches. Now some people are saying you are not suppose to add 5 inches, because it will be too tight. I tried on a 32 dd and it was very tight so I know a 32 b will definitely be tight and my boobs does stick compared to my ribcage, so I think. I agree with the girls on the bra fitting in NYC they told me that I was 32 dd to 28f so they are sister sizes, so I think I am good, but thanks a lot for answering.

32DDs would be big boobs on a relatively small woman (that is, thin otherwise). 36Ds would be big boobs on a bigger woman.

Personally I find that, 32DDs tend to look better.

32 dd is the same as a 34 d and a 36 c. So a 36 has bigger cups then a 32dd

No it's smaller in both cup and band size. 32 band size is ideal. A 36 might mean she's a little chunky but a 32 is great. I'm a 32 DD and my boobs look larger on my frame because I've got a really flat stomach as opposed to a 36D, her boobs might be bigger but the rest of her is too!

OK cool I was wondering about that and thanks a lot because I have been wearing the wrong bra size in which it was 34 b and find out my perfect size is a 32 DD my breasts is 35 inches and my ribcage is 29.5 inches. What's yours?
