I think most matured guys know its a natural thing. It really shouldn't be embarrassing, but I can still I appreciate when women try to be discrete about it. Discretion about any sort of bodily things just seems sophisticated and polite, when possible. That isn't to say that trying to be propper should stop someone from tending their needs when total discretion is inconvenient or impossible though.
I think the real place where this story turned awkward is that the guy took notice and outwardly reacted to it. It would have been far more propper of him to act casual like he hadn't noticed in the first place. Serriously,1 0 1 0I agree completely
I don't find it embarrassing or Gross, but the girl I knew was embarrassed. She didn't realize her period was starting and didn't wear the usual protection and came to work with usual beige pants with a little red dot down there.
1 0 0 0I have an app that tracks mine for that exact reason, and I usually put on a pad 3 days before its supposed to start just in case. It can be pretty horrible to have to sit in blood all day, even if you aren't embarrassed, that poor girl
We just happened to be at a store that sold a bleach pen. Not like it could completely get rid of the stain

I'm not embarressed to buy the pads or anything I just sorta freak out about the blood. It makes me feel absolutely sick to have it on my hands or see it on my skin. I have heavier periods so I usually use baby wipes or flushable moiste wipes to keep clean so that helps. I'm on birth control and sometimes you can unexpectedly spot so I've bled a few times during sex and that's embarrassing for me I already can't stand the blood being on me so it's a little horrifying seeing it on him.
1 0 0 0It is pretty nasty, and I really hate having to deal with the mess, but it isn't really embarrassing to me either
It's not embarrassing, but even as an adult I still find myself stuck in the mindset that guys are grossed and/or weirded out about it so I still try to stealthily go about dealing with it.
Unless it's someone I do sexual things with then I'm like "yo I'm out of commission for the week." and my best guy friend at work, I usually tell him I'm feeling extra shitty cause mother nature is visiting.2 0 0 0No, I don't think it's embarrassing. It's a normal part of being a woman. At your age though, some people are immature about that sort of thing. It shouldn't be something to be ashamed of, although I do think it's gross simply because it's blood and I wouldn't want to bleed everywhere. I like limiting the mess which is why I only use tampons as opposed to pads.
1 0 0 0I tried tampons once and it wasn't comfortable to me, so I stick to pads
Yeah, it takes some getting used to. They can also be uncomfortable if they are inserted at the wrong angle.
When I was younger I thought it was a burden, like women were really less than men bc we had this monthly cycle where our bodies cried tears of blood. But as I got older I realized that we are actually strong mystical creatures and that Hercules had a downfall and women do too

1 0 0 0None of the above. I don't find it embarrassing or gross, but I do find it repulsive. It causes me so much trouble that I won't even call it by its name because it doesn't deserve a name.
1 0 0 0I have no idea y i voted A. I must be so tired -.-
Anyway, periods are a natural part of my life. Im okay with em, except cramps. Im only embarrassed if i ever leak, but that hasn't happened in a long time.1 0 0 0I am not embraced or grossed out by my periods.
