Well now a days there are so many ways to prevents outbreaks, from what I understand they can be held in check pretty well. For the most part is mainly a cosmetic issue in adults although I would imagine outbreaks could hurt and derail sex during outbreaks. If I knew someone had it I wouldn't want to have sex with them but it's possible that opinion would change if they were someone I would want to really be serious with. I would think love would be worth a possible skin blemish but it's hypothetical.
2 1 0 0I don't think it's ignorant. I mean, for a lot of people that's at worst health-threatening and thus terrifying and at best icky. I wouldn't care, and I can obviously see the argument for not caring, but I don't think any side of the fence is wrong about it.

It's a deal breaker if I'm having casual sex, but if I love the guy and we're in a serious relationship, I'm willing to deal with the inconvenience of using a ton of extra protection.
Also, I AM ignorant as to what it's actually like to have genital herpes, it's possible that it's not that bad, haha. I'd still like to avoid it...1 0 0 0

0 8It is a deal breaker for me. I don't care if it is ignorant or not. I don't want to have an incurable STD.
4 0 0 0No, it's not ignorant for it to be a deal breaker. Some people take their sexual health very seriously.
1 2 0 0It is a deal-breaker. Would you want to have sex or go down to anyone who got herpes?
1 0 0 0I was trying to avoid putting my opinion anywhere, because the last time I said it was a deal breaker some people freaked the f out.
Obviously for a "good reason" if you know what I'm sayin...
One of my best gfs had herpes..."ignorant" might be a bit strong...but if I love a woman...would take more than herpes to scare me away...HIV would do it..o.O
0 0 0 0deal breaker because what it is... I don't want any std especially one that doesn't have a 'cure'. won't judge someone if they have it tho
1 0 0 0I just do not want anything that there is no immediate cure for
1 1 0 0It is a deal breaker for me for sure
1 1 0 0It is not ignorant at all. Can't blame them if they reject someone with herpes.
2 1 0 0I was told it's ignorant because a large population of people have it and it doesn't kill
It'd be ignorant if you take it as a non-deal breaker,..psh you have to stay clean and disease free as much as you can
pff, yeah next thing you know jumping in front of cars is acceptable despite it doesn't always kill you. common sense is Nature's blessing. It kills the idiots while those who aren't stupid enough to try it, live. Herpies just fits in that category of 'stupidity'. Personally I'd rather be ignorant of something I assume to be bad, then be stupid and try it and experience pain and other things that could effect my health negatively. No one looks down, they're always looking up to better things.
