Hi. This is my first myTake to GaG and thought I'd break the ice by sharing some thoughts on sexuality and the state of the social climate towards sex in general. It's not difficult to see the influence of porn in different aspects of life. Did you ever see a popular female video game character with small breasts or not "attractive" in some way? They're video games for christ sake ..so why the big, floppy unrealistic breasts all of a sudden?
Porn influence is everywhere (Television, Fashion, Music, Art), and the danger of that is desensitization. In other words, what was sexy, attractive and engaging becomes boring and uninteresting over time, This is the reason why porn is increasingly beyond realistic and rather unattractive: vomit, slapping, bondage, pissing, incest role playing, and on and on are replacing what you and I would consider 'normal' sex. People look for the next best thing because the thing that turned them on last summer is now boring and ineffective due to repeated continuous exposure.
Sex used to be a thing people looked forward to. Now sex is about competition - who is better? who has the biggest cock? Who has the tightest pussy? It's emphasized in almost every magazine to being "creative" or better in the bedroom, spicing things up with new hand movements and ways to drive your partner into a whimsical sex frenzy. Hell, now ass is apparently the new vagina! (thanks Cosmo magazine - thumbs up on that).
If you look at mainstream film and comedy, the facial, comeshot or anal joke is more prevalent today than ever before and is seemingly widely accepted as "normal" . The reason is these unrealistic and forced porn aspects in society directly come from the porn industry. And why wouldn't the porn industry be an influence on society? The billions of dollars that production companies bring in from their products which cater to a young market, thereby in turn make those viewers think that what they're seeing is how people react and interact with one another in the bedroom.
The porn industry brings in almost as much money as Hollywood itself and is practically untouchable. It is a powerhouse that will always be there. Unmoving and unflinching from it's current monetary position in the business world. Do you see porn ever going out of style? That would mean people as a whole would lose interest in sex all together, which will never happen. While sex itself is normal and healthy, porn takes what is normal and healthy and makes it into a monopolized sleaze fest by telling young men and women that what they're seeing is "normal".
Ladies, how many times have you been fucked by the plumber, or pizza delivery guy or any number of shoehorned opportunity positions which would seemingly be easy for a guy to exploit for easy sex? probably not very high on the to-do list I would imagine. Porn tells men that women are easy. just dangle your cock over an all-meat multi cheese pizza pie and BAM! Instant invitation for a two handed, enthusiastic wet blowjob! AND THAT of course leads to him and his buddies (who are just conveniently waiting in the pizza-mobile) for some double anal gangbang creampie action!

What's not unrealistic is the fact that a 14 year old knows what a gangbang creampie orgy is. And this should unsettle you. In closing, the desensitization will do a number on millions of men due to being "brainwashed" and hardwired to only become sexually aroused WHEN watching porn and not from the comfort and warmth of a real woman. It's already happening - the rate of erectile dysfunction is out of control and most cases can be attributed to watching porn. This is clearly a male problem since most of the buyers and viewers of porn are male statistically speaking. This feeds into the food and drug administration, who are more than glad to throw a box of Cialis or Viagra your way if you're having problems (most male porn stars use these drugs to keep the illusion that they're actually turned on and NOT just doing a day to day "job").
Everyone is rubbing each others back as the smut monopoly becomes richer and richer and these large money conglomerates don't show much concern about the problems they're helping create. As porn becomes more like "fast food" and technology advances leaps and bounds into the hyper virtual environment - Society will be a strange phenomena within 30 years when people (most of which who do not look like porn stars) stop interacting with each other because of being hungrily tapped into a more-real-than-real interactive sex world they can't have in person.

I agree for the most part. I never watch porn as.. horrible as you described, but it is pretty detrimental for someone so young to watch it. Porn ruins relationships but it affects younger people moreso than older ones. It is all about moderation but people become addicted to it.
The porn industry it self doesn't have no moral but it doesn't mean it shouldn't be regulated. Porn is porn but there are definitely genres of porn's that are way to sick for anyone with a healthy mental health.
You really can't regulate it as long as it's consenting adults, freedom of speech and all. Even if it's sick, people have a right to do what they wish and broadcast it to other adults all they want
@Nothanks700 sadly freedom of speech is been mistaken with licentiousness.. Those incest videos should be illegal as like all of those videos that show the fantasy of minors having something with adults ( 18+ girls playing the role of underage), among others.
I forgot to mention that those porn videos I mentioned don't cause a behavior, they are like a fuel for the behavior of any one with sexual deviation or with antisocial tendency's, and those videos can deeply influence a minor and develop in a minor antisocial behavior & sexual deviation.

@Nothanks700 there actually is a legal argument against the porn industry. In fact, people would be somewhat justified even to start lawsuits against it under certain cases.
@Phenix457 yes, if someone is forced or otherwise pressured to do it, then there would be legal presedence. But consenting people can do what they wish. I don't like it either, but we can't pick and choose what is deemed worthy of freedom of speech or the right goes away.

The things you mentioned are all definitely some of the darkest things on there! And there not the only ones and yes some people women as well as men watch thous things. Yeah, pornography is screwing up society pretty badly. I got into it early on, and I can see how it messes with people.
For me personally, even though I (regretfully) look at pornography frequently, I have never been able to stomach the violent, group, urine / scat / vomit, or incest stuff. Just seeing the advertisements on adult sites makes me cringe (especially for the women involved), and I felt sick after the few times that I actually clicked on them.
Homemade video is usually what I watch, because while I still know in the back of my mind how it was uploaded (out of spite / revenge, the couple has exhibitionist tendencies, the husband / wife was a douche and submitted without telling), it's less fake than the "professional" content (if one could even call it that). I seem especially drawn to videos where the people talk to each other (as in actual talking, not reciting pre-written smutty dialogue).
Even though the homemade stuff is more genuine and real than actor pornography, I hate that I watch it, because it takes the place of a real woman in my life. I've found that when I'm actually interacting with a girl (even just as a friend), my desire for pornography disappears, because the connection is what I'm looking for more than anything. However, given my sparsely populated region and women's general lack of interest in me, pornography is pretty much all that I have to vent sexual frustration with. I don't want to, but I become irritable if I don't release at least a couple of times per week, and I've no sweetheart to turn to.
We've reached the point where many people don't actually even know what real sex even is, and our culture is suffering because of it. Porn has reached epidemic levels of addiction, and I'm ashamed to say that it's gotten ahold of me also.
