Prostitution is legal in many places in the world (Australia and most of Europe), and yes, that includes a number of rural counties in Nevada (but NOT Clark County, where Vegas is, or Washoe County where Reno is). If you are serious about visiting a prostitute, those are safe places to do so, and you can know that the women are there by choice, can leave at any time, and actually get to keep a large portion of their earnings. You also know that they are tested regularly, require condoms for all interactions (so they're clean and safe), and that you won't have any legal issues.
Due to the prohibition on prostitution in most places in the US, those things are rarely true of other prostitutes, since most of the prostitution business is controlled and run by criminal organizations. It's no different than alcohol prohibition, where criminals came in and ran an alcohol black market and caused lots of violence and corruption that spilled over onto un-involved, innocent people. When was the last time you hear of a Coors driver shooting at a Bud driver?
Point is: if you're doing to do it, be smart and safe about it.
Many people are overweight and yet in relationships. But, if you make yourself accept failure as inevitable, then you will fail. I'm shy too, and truly I think a shy person will never stop feeling that shyness. But, with practice, you can come across as more outgoing and confident. As for being overweight, why accept that as inevitable either? Being overweight can also have negative emotional effects. Why not join a gym, and maybe try to meet women there?
As for prostitution, as long as it's legal, why not? It's nothing to be ashamed of. But, it's only a short-term fix.

I don't know if you're referring to this situation when you talk about "using girls," but it would be pretty hard to do that with a prostitute unless you do something without paying for it. Sex work is a service. Use protection, be respectful, then you're not doing anything wrong.

I believe it is legal and well-regulated in Germany. It may be legal in nevada as well, but I don't know about well-regulated.

What you need to do is get a gym membership and worry about your health. Try losing weight and work out to improve your overall appearance because you said you're overweight. Don't go to a prostitute, that's nasty. Because you get an STD right after that then it would be the only time in your life you might have had sex, unless you would choose to be an a**hole and have sex with some other girl you meet later on without telling her you have STD. Not to mention majority of prostitutes are victims of child or human trafficking so you're just increasing the demand. You can get an escort who most likely won't have STD's and not victims of any trafficking but they are quite high class hence being escort and much more pricey than a hooker. You can use the money to get a gym membership and a trainer to improve your appearance. I'm 25 and a virgin too by the way but going to a prostitute is low.

If all you want is sex I don't see any problem in it. Its likely though you will discover that you also crave validation, companionship and intimacy which a prostitute cannot provide.
