Is the Pill without using condoms safe?

I've been on the pill for 4 years now... it works perfectly and I take it at the same time everyday. My partner and I use condoms as another method of contraception however he seems to be uncomfortable (see other question I asked for full details!) and I was wondering is it safe to have sex without condoms if I'm on the pill? We only doubled up contraception to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. What are the chances I'd get pregnant in this scenario if he pulls out before he ejaculate?

You are a very smart and mature girl! There are very few your age that would take the precautions that you have and it is commendable. Unwanted pregnancy is a very scary thing! I was on birth control pills and took them religiously like you are describing and as well I used condoms during an entire 17-year relationship. If you want to try the pill without a condom you will just have to try it and see what happens. There's no other way to figure it out. Of course there's always that one horror story of someone so fertile that not even birth control pills would stop conception. Taken correctly it is 99.7% effective. When I finally ditched the condoms I did not have any problems and I am super happy about it! Do what you are comfortable with.

Aw thank you😊we just don't want an unwanted pregnancy. I'm scared of that horror story haha... I'll maybe try getting thinner condoms and see what happens. If that doesn't work I'll only use my pill. Thank you very much for your help and advice xx

Finding the right condom can make all the difference. I don't know where you live but try to find Durex extra-sensitive in the purple box. It's the best one I have found!

The Pill isn't 100% effective, but if you take them correctly and on time, it's close to 100%. My boyfriend and I have used just the Pill for more than two years now and no babies or scares yet.

I wouldn't think pulling out would add much safety since it's possible there's sperm in pre-cum.

It’s completely safe. The pill is 99% effective on its own if taken at the same time every day so you should be fine. I’ve just used the pill for my entire relationship with my ex and we never once had an issue. Best of luck!

The pill is very effective for preventing pregnancy, so if you are using condoms as well, to prevent pregnancy, it seems, in my opinion, That it is not only redundant, but a waste of money and a lack of pleasure.
Now, one thing you must remember and take into consideration is that the pill is great for preventing pregnancy, but does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases.

As with all things caution. if you really are averse to condoms or want to try not using one, and youstill like the security of doubling your methods, continue taking birth control and then take a plan b (morning after pill). that should keep your mind at ease and focused on more important tasks like fucking each other silly😉

Well, it depends on good you are at taking the pill. Wearing the condom is extra protection in case you forget. There’s a fail safe.

The pill is good but only like 97% protection. If he pulls out there's still a slight chance you could get pregnant off pree cum but the chances are low. but there's always that chance if condoms are uncomfortable try a different type?

A condom isn't necessary unless you are concerned about an STD. That being said, no birth control is 100% effective so if you want to be extra safe, a condom is a good backup method. My wife is on the pill and I never use a condom. I ejaculate inside her all the time and have never had a unwanted pregnancy. The pill is very reliable if taken as directed but doesn't protect you from STD transmission.

Well I use to be in a relashionship for 3 years, and she use only the pill, and she never get pregnant, even if we have sex 3 times a day, she never get pregnant 😔

go to a doctor and ask him.. or in a pharmacy ! if you do it the right way.. then yes it prevents pregnancy.. but it doesn't prevent illnesses, if he has something.. then you will have it too..; go to a doctor or someone, who can tell you all, or just google it... good luck
