uhh well I'm sure you will notice some weird obsession type of signs, such as stalking, jealousy, possessive, quick to angry when your talking to another guy,etc. I never masturbated to the idea of a female friend nor a picture. Unless its a dirty picture, then that's different. Not most guys get horny from hugging, hugging is like 3 secs at max. You can always ask the guy your curious about what he thinks about you and from there you can figure out if he likes you or not.
