Is there really a lot of sex in college?

I'm in college but not a university but I hear of all these stories of people having sex every week and like people f***ing outside or in public in dorms. Is it really like that?

Well, yes and no.

There is a lot of horniness in any college environment, so the campus tends to be split between the kids who sleep with everyone they meet and the kids who don't. Why? The concept that you're "an adult" gives a false sense of independence and rebelliousness that leads to a corresponding "cut loose and do as you please" sort of rebelliousness. The fact that you're still grappling with the any remaining hormonal issues you haven't gotten under control in your earlier teens is on the other side of that coin. Finally, for social purposes, some people still really only go to college to meet the motivated sort of person who will ultimately make a good partner -- following the sexual revolution, the sexual "test drive" ultimately became part of the process of identifying and weeding through prospective mates.

my sister said that sex was on tap if you wanted it but that boys were all trying to get the girls that werent interested as they were more of a challenge...does that worry u?

It depends on the crowd that you're with.

Mainly, it's just people partying their ass off and studying hard for finals/midterms.

Well, I've only gone to an inner-city Community College... and there are NO attractive people... boys or girls (the girls all have babies too)...

It's kinda sad, makes me wish I could've gone to a University at a younger age, but then I wouldn't be getting straight A's like I am right now!

I will be going to a University later this year tho... I'll be turning 29, so it's still not to late to get in on the "extracurricular activities" lol

Most men don't get laid that much, unless they are really good looking or have a lot of game. Most girls won't put out that easily unless you say all the right things at the right time, or you get them really drunk. Something like 70% of hook up sex in college happens when the girl is drunk. Whether or not you want to go down that route and worry about a false rape accusation is another matter.

If you are female or good looking then yes there will be. However for females and good looking men sex is easy to get wherever you go.

yes, but like others said it depends on the crowd and its usually when people are drunk. And it does happen in dorms, I've had the pleasure of hearing two students get it on a few doors down :/
