Well I guess the first question is what is the fashion on pubes where you live and/or your culture. It does vary a lot. Then it is absolutely your choice for your look. I don't think it is a big issue for most boys if at least you are neatly trimmed and not a earth-mother/cave-woman. I am sure he will delighted to be able to explore you whatever you choose.

Cool, so I think it should be a neat trim then. If there is time left try snd trim a few days before. That way it gives time for the sharpness of the end of the cut hairs to soften a bit so that it will feel softer on your boyfriend face. When is the day for exploration?
It might be interesting to take a before and after trim selfie as well. Then you can see what he is going to see. Trim a little at a time until you achieve the look you find best for you.
Honey go ahead and shave it. You don't have to shave; you could get a wax or get hair removal cream. You would want to look great for him, especially if he's your first. Then he might be the totally opposite. He might not mind if you didn't shave; just ask him what he likes.
It's probably safest to shave it for my first time, probably. Better than risking him being turned off by it.
Shaved clean is best, but if you can't handle that then at the very least trim the jungle way down so that it's not a jungle anymore. :)

Once a week he shaves me and I shave him. We use Noxema brand bikini shavers and unscented shave cream. These are special shavers for shaving the pubic area. They have little plastic fingers that prevent the blade from contacting the skin. You get a very close shave with no bumps or ingrown hairs. It cuts the hair off at the base. I clean the shaver off after each stroke by wiggling it in a cup of water. When you do your first shave you may need to use two shavers but once you're doing it every week it only takes one. When you do it every week it becomes very quick, easy and comfortable. Note, allow a full day before having sex for any slight residual shaving irritation to go away.

Me personally I actually like female pubic hair because its the natural beauty and its sexy, a turn on and a sign of maturity as well. I do however respect a woman's decision on how she grooms herself because its her body and her choice.

To me, shaved/waxed looks over-sexualized... even slutty. Just keep it trimmed and edged for the beach. This way, you will look modest, mature and feminine. Unless you have been preparing (fingers and toys) you may have some "first time" discomfort. Use plenty of lube and dont trust nature.
Interesting. I haven't been preparing. But do many guys feel that way about shaved?
I am probably in the minority for 20s but not alone. And older guys will increasingly agree.
