I've noticed that it's easier for me to be in cowgirl for a long time now that I've introduced squats to my life, haha. Also, my boyfriend and I often take turns during the work in cowgirl position. Like, when I get tired, I'll stay stationary about halfway onto his d*** and he'll thrust. Gives some of the muscles a break.
