Girls, multiple negative pregnancy test results but late period?

i've been with the same guy all my life and it's same vice versa and we try our absolute best to be careful. i've never had a regular menstrual cycle, it usually doesn't stop me from being paranoid as a motherfucker every month though. and i mean it like for example, i can have it for 3 days on one and the next 7, or i can miss a month only to have 2 in the next month. lately i've just been paranoid because i haven't had it yet this month, but i have the familiar cramps and i feel like it's still close to being here. negative test results for different brands even have reassured me. i haven't had any signs of pregnancy other than nipple soreness. yeah, not the actual breasts just the nipple surface lol and i've had it before from my bras. i've been super fucking careful about contraception methods like i said, though i'm still in the process getting of birth control with new health insurance. if i was pregnant, it'd be less than 10 weeks seeing as i had my last period at the end of the last month. it's happened before, and i know it's possible to miss a month, even without birth control, but i was wondering if anyone else has? or gone through something similar? i'm stressed out a lot lately, and i understand that can be a factor as well

thanks for the feedback, it's assured me that it really might just be stress seeing as it's happened before and i'm extremely irregular. i plan to see a doctor for advice as well as complete confirmation on if it's a pregnancy or just some hormonal issue with me along with the best type of birth control for it with my condition in mind. i have a decision made for if i was by chance pregnant though, which won't sway. hope everyone's right and it won't come to that granted. it's appreciated

  • I've just been through it. It's been past 10 days, until I eventually had my period. Try to relax, and maybe even have PIV sex with your partner - it can help start your period. But if you don't get them by the end of the month, maybe go see a OB/GYN just to be sure you're good.
Also, weigh your options before you go on birth control. I just got off the pill, and life's a bitch. It was awful while I was on it, so no regrets... but post-pill side effects are not a joke.
    Good luck with everything!

    • lol thank you, i actually was on it before. a low hormone type because of a condition i have, and believe it or not it made me even more irregular but it may have been the brand. i'll discuss that with my new gynecologist and look into others. your input is appreciated, thanks again

    • No problem! Hope it all works out! :-)

  • I once was 3 weeks late just from worry. If u worry too much it can become a self fulfilling prophecy. If all the tests are negative then I'm sure u aren't. Try to not think about it and eat normally.

    • lol it's just hard to before i actually see it. that makes me feel a bit better to actually hear someone who's done it too. and i'll try to, thank you

  • Stress and other factors can make your period late. If you've had multiple negative pregnancy tests (at a time when the test should be effective) then I don't think you should worry.

    • it'd be about a month if so, i'd hope it is

    • If your period has completely skipped or is unusually late, you should see a doctor.

    • i mean since the last, it's been about a month so it has almost. i'm planning on seeing one next week though, to be positive that it's not a pregnancy and if it is look at my options, or if it's not if there's a problem with me. wouldn't be the first time it's skipped but that doesn't make it any better. i'll be sure to. and thanks for the input it's appreciated

  • Your hormone levels may be off. My periods were erratic before I was diagnosed with A thyroid disorder.

    • it seems like it, even with birth control i had been on about a year prior before stopping didn't help. i hope it's not that though, but i wish you luck and thanks for responding

    • Thanks. I’ve had my disorder for 21 years. Fluctuations in my cycle tell me I need a medication adjustment. Good luck

  • Stress can make u late. And u may wanna consider birth control for your irregularity and paranoia

    • i've considered that being a factor since it's happened before, it's just hard for me not to worry until i see it actually here. i've been on it before, but it made me even more irregular, so this time i'll tell them about my past experience and other options as well. thanks for the feedback though sometimes just hearing that helps

  • If you have irregular cycles, it may be harder for you to get pregnant That was the case with one of my friends. It's probably stress. Don't panic just yet. In fact, find a healthy way to relax so you can get your period and out this behind you.

  • I gave it about 5 days before I started panicking. And my panic was justified. But being pregnant isn't the physical and emotional hell I thought it was going to be... yet.

    • scaring me a bit lol but, i already know what i'd do if i was and it's not a choice everyone in the world supports but it's what i'd do. since you've decided to go through with your pregnancy it seems like, good luck

    • Yeah, actually just started my second trimester. Probably won't even start showing for another few weeks, but I'm gonna flaunt that bump once I can't hide it anymore.
