Very little is hotter to me than when I make my girl squeal and moan, and I would say that most guys definitely like it when their girl makes noise. On the other hand, I can totally understand that there are situations where you have to be quiet too. Back in the old days when I was too poor to have my own house and had to deal with roommates, we usually had to be quiet. But I don't get why he was trying to keep you quiet when you had the house to yourself. That is normally the time to let 'er rip!
I think you should talk to him about it and see what he says. Don't wait until "naked time"; bring it up during the day and find out what he's thinking.
Unless there's a legitimate reason to hold the noise down...i.e. Next to Mom & Dad's room or a kid's room or if everyone in the neighborhood can hear...then there's no good reason to hold back. You're totally right. MOST guys love to hear his woman moan or even scream with passion. If he's got a problem with THAT...I think you oughtta let ME know ! (LOL)
The only time my boyfriend ever shushed me was when his father was visiting. Normally, he loves it when I moan - the louder and the more often, the better in his opinion so I think this quite odd. Maybe it's a subjective opinion though: some guys might like it while others don't. The only way to know is to ask him outright if he's quieting you because he doesn't like the noise or just because he's afraid someone will hear and complain.

I had this happen to me and he said he just didn't like hearing a girl at all during sex. After that I started watching him closely and many red flags started popping up. I feel that he was on the downlow and preferred men. A man that doesn't wanna hear a peep from any woman during sex has to be gay and more than likely prefers a men so you probably want to move on unless he gives a logical explanation like childhood trauma or something.
